I agree with that. But I also think there is a difference between joining up with stars to try to start something new vs joining up with a team of stars that has already been tearing up the league.

For the record, I am totally fine with either one. Players should do what they want and they have a limited subset of opportunities to chose from. But I do think the perception of the two situations can be different for a lot of people.

Agree. I also have no problem with players doing that. That's why my criticism of Lebron has always been the way he went about it with Miami and Cleveland, not that he did it.

Was LeBron absent during this offseason? He has lobbied for the front office to sign or re-sign players in the past. Beasley played in 20 games last year. Suddenly he would have been a great signing? Raymond Felton had a terrible year last year and he's playing well this year. It's amazing how LeBron cherry picked cheap players who are having solid seasons. No one knows that going into the season. As far as Jones, the Cavaliers signed him and waived him. He hasn't played elsewhere since.

The team has a bunch of players that fit that mold -- Richard Jefferson, Mike Dunleavy/Kyle Korver, Channing Frye, Birdman, James Jones. Some of them work out and some of them don't. It's weak for James to look back on the offseason with hindsight and suggest they could have made stronger players for specific aging, mediocre players who happen to be having solid seasons this year.

LeBron used the term "playmaker." What does that mean? For sure, it could be interpreted to mean another star. Honestly, I think they need to trade Kevin Love while his value is high and get a different star in his place. Love will impede this team from beating the Warriors.

"We gotta get a point guard," James said. "It's my last time saying it. We need a point guard."

What a load of crap. Lebron didn't join the Cavs team that went to the lottery 4 straight years, he joined the Cavs team that had 2 all stars in Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. You can spare me the "Love signed after Lebron" crap too. Without Love being all but assured of coming, Lebron stays in Miami.

There's no difference.

I thought when Lebron joined the Cavs they were in the lottery 4 straight years. And Kevin Love was still with Minny ... Cleveland had just drafted Wiggins and the Love trade didn't happen for another month. (late August)

Yogi has looked great with Mavericks. When JJ & DWill come back -- they will have 4 (including Seth Curry) -- they will have to drop one I think.

But it is hard to really know if Yogi is better than Felder.

Completely agree. Wonder what Lebron thinks of Felder?

An all star team is an all star and that's what Lebron joined in Cleveland. I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that if Love and Kyrie had both been on the Cavs before Lebron joined instead of Love coming with Lebron, he would have been joining a team that had made the playoffs.
again- we are just going to have to agree to disagree here

i cant say that LeBron joining 2 all stars that have never been to the playoffs is the same as joining a team with 3 all stars that had already won a title and been to another Finals...if you are comfortable saying that is the same- more power to you.

as my Grandpa used to say- opinions are like assholes- we all have them, and they all stink ;)

i just cant reconcile--- joining 2 all stars with 0 playoff games combined-- to joining 3 all stars with dozens of combined playoff experience, a title, and a Finals run....

to me those things juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust dont seem equal, lol.....but as i said--- everyone is welcome ot their OWN opinion - at this point we are going in circles though. LOL.
