that would be a LOT of fun. Dion Waiters' irrational confidence would be something to behold in that series. lol....I would love that.....seeing Dion....seeing Blancote deal with Love and Thompson over 7 games....Dragic and Kyrie.....

as far as 1st round series would go- that is DEFINITELY my hope. Id much rather get the HEat in the first round then like Detroit or Indiana or Washington.

Hey Waiter might be irrationally confident but he's no Swappy P.

Because of the injuries, trade and "dog days" the team needs their best player and leader focused on the game and on his team to lead them through it. They don't need him taking shots at the FO and getting into pissing matches with an analyst who hasn't put on a uniform in 20 years.
I mean- i agree t o a certain extent- however- i definitely do think that LeBron is "focused on the game"--- he is playing great ball. After everything the Cavs went through last year- i dont think this crap really matters--- i agree its not preferable- but i just dont see it having any kind of meaningfully tangible effect. They didnt lose to the Mavs because LeBron talked to the media after a game- they lost ott he Mavs becuase they shot the ball like crap and tristan went from having his best game of the year- to pooping himself last night.

everything Barkley said was true

"He doesn't want to compete."

Barkley's comments were stupid. He was right to call LeBron whiny and to criticize him for talking about it publicly... but as soon as he got into "LeBron has to have all the best players. He always has to be the favorite. He doesn't want to compete". That was wrong, imo. And it was stupid cause LeBron was talking about filling an empty roster spot with a role player.

Shaq immediately called him out for it, too, and he was right.

We got my son Samsung VR for Christmas -- watching a game with these are very cool. I'm sure I looked stupid watching the game with it on -- doing stuff like holding up my hand for player passing doing a high 5 ... and ducking when ball was headed for me. Technology isn't perfect yet -- but this will change how we watch games in future. They are broadcasting 1 game / week in VR. (need League Pass)

You can be sitting 'courtside' at NBA games with virtual reality

Swaggy P is still shooting 41.8% from 3 which is ridiculous- but i gotta think that his confidence has taken a hit lately...freaking Lakers are 6-24 since December started....its prob hard to stay confident when you are winning 1 out of every 5 games--- but if anyone can do it--- its probably Swaggy P. lol.....he needs to share some of that confidence wih Ingram.

Barkley has a big mouth. He can have his own opinions but when you personally attack someone they have the right to say something back. Lebron whining, in which he does a lot, isn't anything compared to what Barkley did. Barkley was a terrible role model, from spitting on a little girl to throwing a man through a window.

Lebron has always been a whiner but he does it to get what he wants bc he is the leader of the team. Kobe whined just as much as Lebron and he won championships. Gotta respect it, whatever it is.

Barkley didn't take any personal shots at LeBron. Everything he said was basketball related. Lebron was the one who made a personal attack on Barkley. Typically, when someone stoops to personal attacks, it's because they know the person they are attacking was right.

Leaders of teams don't whine and Kobe didn't whine about anything. Kobe, like MJ or Barkley, was an asshole and he'd be an asshole right to someone's face, not passive aggressively.

Given the choice between a guy who is overtly an asshole like Kobe, Barkley and MJ or a guy who's passive aggressive about it, I'll take the overt asshole every time. At least with him, you know where you stand at all times.

I just looked up Swappy P's stats. Glad to see he's averaging 1.0 apg. He dishes out the rock better than John Stockton!

I do think he wants to compete, but he does always have to be the favorite, and he does want to have all the best players.

He basically wants his GM to have a legendary season every year, sign top players for pennies on the dollar and make top notch trades.

The guy has Kyrie/Love/Korver and himself, along with Tristan who he helped get paid, 5 years and 82 million.

When he's sitting there getting his friends, like the aforementioned, paid a shit ton of money, he can't go back and complain the GM isn't doing their job.

I'll never forgive him for getting Riley and company to waste a first round pick on Shabaz Napier only to fucking leave a month later, he can eat a big bag of dicks, tbh.

And another thing, I don't like your fucking tone.

I get what you're saying. LeBron got way more personal than Chuck did. But Barkley said LeBron didn't want to compete.. that he wasn't a competitor.

To athletes, especially hard-working ones like LeBron... there isn't much worse you could say about them.

With the way both teams are playing right now. You may not be far off. lol

Just wait until wiggy gives the Cavs a pep talk. After that I'm sure they'll go on a 10 or 15 game winning streak.

iw onder if they are really considering Sanders.....i have been against it in the past.....but i dunno...

i think before they sign a guy like Sanders- or a guy like Cole or Jack or Chalmers- tehy are going to try and comb over every option in the trade front to get a guy that is a little more reliable.

if they cant get a move done in the trade market- then i think those guys- will be a more realistic option to sign-- but they arnt gonna burn that roster spot before they explore more and better options.

id freaking LOVE Randy Foye on the Nets- but why would they ever just help the Cavs out for no apparent reason and deal him? if the Cavs moved Cedi Osman- they could get him- but i dont think they want to do that for a PG that might not even play in the playoffs.

yah- its probably pretty grating on LeBron hearing Charles Barkleys fat-ass tell him he doesnt want to compete- when LeBron puts way more work/attention to detail/conditioning/practice--- then Barkley EVER did.

Just ran across this article from realgm.com (4-21-15): LeBron never told the Heat to draft Shabazz Napier.

he does want to have all the best players

Everyone does. But what matters is - at the end of the day - if you give it you're all with what you've got.

With the possible exception of parts of the 2011 Finals... LeBron has done that. He has been as consistent about giving his all with who's he's got as anyone, imo.

Again.. we're talking about a regular season role player to fill an empty roster spot. Its not like he's asking to add a top-3 player to an already championship level team.

I'm not sure if saying he is "whiny" is basketball related.

"Inappropriate. Whiny. All of the above," Barkley said of James last week. "The Cleveland Cavaliers, they have given him everything he wanted. They have the highest payroll in NBA history. He wanted J.R. Smith last summer, they paid him. He wanted [Iman] Shumpert last summer. They brought in Kyle Korver. He's the best player in the world. Does he want all of the good players? He don't want to compete? He is an amazing player. They're the defending champs."

We'll have to agree to disagree. These things have an effect on a team over time. Is it the sole reason they are 7-8 this month? Of course not. But if you know anything about team sports, you know it does have an effect because it's just more shit they have to deal with.

In some ways, stuff like that can be worse than the regular crap they have to deal with because it's easily preventable. All that needs to happen is for Lebron to shut up.
