.the Lakers still need to find their Embiid i think- they have some really really nice guys that can support that ype of player- but if they keep that top 3 pick- they would have a great chance at adding their centerpiece that every team needs. I am not so sure/kinda doubt they currently have their "centerpiece" although i suppose its possible.

I wouldn't have a problem with them losing enough to keep the pick. However, it can't happen at the expense of developing the guys they already have.

As for whether or not they have their centerpiece right now, it's impossible to know. When you consider that there has been virtually no development of the young guys over the past 3 years, it's almost like the rookie year for all of them. This is the first time they have a coach that they want to play for and who is willing to actually teach them.

I know Russell wants to be the centerpiece/leader and he's saying the right things. But he also needs to do the right things and he needs to become more consistent.

They are. If not for all these injuries, they would be close to 8th but I'll be fine with a top 5 lottery pick lol

As bad as our record is, I don't mind watching them because I know they usually compete. Only time I refuse to watch is when everyone and their momma is hurt and we dress like 8 players.

There's a big group of teams that have between 13-18 wins, it's gonna be an interesting race to see who gets those top 5 picks.
