Now that we've had time for everything to settle in. Who should've been in the College Football Playoff? Obviously 'Bama and Clemson are no-doubters. I think even Washington was pretty clearly deserving. I think the real debate comes down to Ohio State and Penn State.

I know an additional loss is big in college football. But since the playoff they haven't been as important. And since they were in the same division and Penn State won it, and won the same conference and beat Ohio State head to head then I think that at least makes it extremely close. I'm not totally sure myself which one deserves it more. But I think being conference champion should matter and supposedly that was what put Ohio State in over TCU & Baylor two years ago, so why didn't it matter this time?

It's about to start, I think we all have had enough discussion on who we thought should have been in. The question is, will Bama continue to dominate or will they get upset along the way.

That's a good way of thinking, think the worst possible outcome. Remember, Ohio St never had a chance in hell two years ago.
Washington's leading tackler (Azeem Victor) is out for the season with a broken foot and the leader in sacks in the conference (Joe Mathis) is out for the season with a broken foot. Those two can't be replaced overnight and it's going to show.

Alabama shouldn't throw the ball more than 15 times, and they know it.

Jake Browning is going to have to get his shit together for this game and if Jonathon Smith pulls some bs playcalling like he did vs SC it's going to be a long day.

He needs to put his deep throws on the money, which you and I both know, hasn't been his strong point.

This ^^ ... he's constantly under throwing his WR's. What I'm worried about is the UW coaches calling a totally stupid fvking game like they did vs SC. SC hit on crossing routes, especially with their TE all fvking night long. After you get burned on like the 3rd or 4th time on the same fvking play you'd think someone would have kept a LB or DB in the middle to check his ass when he comes across the middle. Also UW didn't start blitzing until late in the game. Before that Darnold was having a field day back there due to lack of pressure.

Their defense is schemed so much like the Seahawk's it's scary. They try to get to the QB without blitzing, they keep everything in front, tackle really well and defend every blade of grass. The problem is, they get burnt on crossing routes if they don't get to the QB, just like Seattle and often are too late when they decide to bring extra rushers, like Seattle.

Petersen patterns a lot after Carroll's Seahawks. Offense (read option) to the defense. Petersen even got the rugby tackling thing from Pete Carroll seeing how Carroll sent two of his defensive coaches to a Washington practice to teach them how. Now Petersen has the Huskies practicing at the Seahawk facilities for two days during the summer camp.
