think we could have one at least one of the Dallas games, the Lions game and possibly the Cardinals game with a better defense.

I'm not a Barry fan, but how exactly did RK bail him out when he was just doing his job?
And that is primarily due to the fact that we just don't have enough playmakers on defense. Guys that step up, like Kerrigan did today, and beat his man to make a play on the ball. When was the last time we saw a safety ball hawk on a long pass? We have Ryan and josh on defense that have this ability. That's it. We have 6 or 8 guys on offense that can do it.With even an average defense, or, at the very least, THIS EXACT DEFENSE with just the LEAGUE AVERAGE on 3rd down, the redskins are firmly in the playoffs with wins over the Lions and Bengals.
That's not really debatable. The third down defense is on pace to become the single worst third down defense since they started following that stat. They are spectacularly bad on third down. They are worse than the teams that are statistically worse then they are this year, by a LARGE margin. Think about THAT one...
70+ plays for the Iggles vs. 40+ plays for the Skins means the D had a hard time getting off the field.
That being said 6 points were on Cousins and the offense. I think we could have one at least one of the Dallas games, the Lions game and possibly the Cardinals game with a better defense.
True. But you gotta call that botched hold luck. That was a huge turning point in the game.
Re-watch the last few series, I saw Kerrigan on the sideline for quite a bit and not sure why.
And btw, Jackson's effort on that play left me questioning his commitment to his team. He is supposedly the fastest guy on the field and not only did he not make every effort to break up the pick, he gave half an effort to chase down the DB imo.
Because Barry was calling a terrible game, and Kerrigan's strip sack fumble saved what would have inevitably been calls to (correctly) replace Barry at season's end.
Is it really that hard, Breed?
Um, yeah, excuse me for expecting your best effort on every play regardless of whether it goes our way or not. Other than that play, DJ balled out. Like him just fine. Re-read my post about resigning him.If you don't like Djax just say so. No need to make up bullshit about him though and what you posted is some bullshit.

If you wanna view that as luck, cool. It certainly was fortunate for the Skins and they capitaliozed on it, It ain't mad at em. It was a 50 yd FG though. So it wasn'yt a gimme chip shot.
Barry May Be Qualified, but WSH Hiring Process Looks Flawed
Hmm - doing a little searching & ran across this. Not sure anyone can trust Bleacher Report, but this is interesting. Perhaps some of you pointed this out when it happened. It appears that Barry was more of an Allen hire & not one made mainly by SM or Gruden. If so & given the results over the last few years I think that they need to take a hard look at whether he should be retained.
They pointed out some of Barry's highlights in this article, but they don't seem too impressive to me & none revolve around his time as an NFL D coordinator. Again - just stating that he has not has had adequate talent on D should not give him a free pass IMO.
ok what is joe barry calling or not calling you guys are bitching about ? the tapes and breakdowns i have seen are mostly mental errors by the players , yesterdays game you saw break down after break down
