I think we are a very interesting fan base. We sit here at 2-2 and nobody can really explain it. We are complaining about winning by only 11 points, we say our defense totally sucks but they got three takeaways, and then we give credit to the Browns for us forcing those turnovers, all without crediting the defense for having the most fumble recoveries in the NFL over the last 10 games or so.

Look, I hate missed tackles as much as anybody and scream at the TV like all of you. That being said, we won the game and our team FORCED 3 turnovers. We used to play boring defense and never force turnovers and lose...we complained. Now we are forcing turnovers and complaining after winning. It is very interesting.

As for the game...

KC started very impressively but then got very indecisive.

Matt Jones balled today but I think he missed a lot of yards because he doesn't see the field that well.

OL played very well today, except Trent (maybe it is just expectations). They made a lot of holes for Matt Jones and continue to protect KC. Kujo didn't look great because of the penalties, but how about that scrub SPENCER LONG (dig at Dean).

DJ...Hat is off to him. If you are just looking at the stats, add on another 70 yards for DJ for PI forces.

Front 7 on defense...I don't know what it is except for a lack of talent. I don't want to add OLB to that statement though. TRENT MURPHY and PS both played well today...TM now has 4 sacks in 4 games after just getting lucky he made the team (dig at Dean I know). I believe the biggest problem is at ILB; however, we could use some high talent on the interior line. Our ILBs cannot fill gaps and they cannot tackle so it is very difficult to truly gauge how bad the DL is.

Josh Norman...we gave him a lot of crap in the first half but if you look back, he was right there for every play. There were some very nice throws to Pryor in the first half and you could see Norman was going to get a pick this game because he was just off on that very first throw. I thought he would get a pick six but it was just a pick/penalty. He balled out the second half.

Lets be honest. CLE sucks. And we aren't much better. That game should never have been that close. While our defense didn't give up the points, CLE moved the ball at will. If we can't figure out how to stop offenses from running the ball right up the middle for 10 yards a crack, its going to be a very long season.

What do you think will happen when we play a good team?

lol cmon gk when RK went out I expected TM to flash. If he didnt we would have bigger problems on D. Long looked good at center. Wasn't impressed with Kojo at LG. I don't know why they wont bring back Pot Roast. KC mental game awareness is just not there. Josh Norman is the best player on the defense by far. Huge pick at the end. Our defensive tackling was bad. Im ok with 2-2. I had us at 3-1 at this point of the season.

4 sacks in 4 games isn't flashing. TM has been playing well all season and it isn't because JG and RK are hurt. He is playing well because he is a solid football player. He is actually playing like a well above average player.

Long looked good at center but let me ask this. Is he playing center because Kujo is better at guard? Or is he playing center because that is best for our team?

Nobody has Pot Roast...maybe that is saying something about Pot Roast.

We should be 3-1...KC gave that game to Dallas.

By Rk going out of this game that gave TM more playing time and more time to flash. Of course his stats should go up b/c he is on the field more. I believe Long was the only one who knew the line calls and had the experience so he had to start at center today. When they become comfortable with Sully at center then Long will be moved to LG. It also depends how long Lavou is out for.

Nobody ahs a worst run defense than us. So Pot Roast can only help. I agree we should be 3-1 and the Dallas game could come back to haunt us.

I agree we may have the worst run defense but run defense is mostly about tackling...Pot Roast isn't tackling anything other than a Canoli.
So, you think Norman is our best defender this season...who has been the second best?
OK for Long. Last year you were claiming Kujo was better...it is nice you can admit you are wrong. Maybe one day you will admit you were wrong on Murphy...over and over.

whoa I never said Kojo was better. I said he had a shot to compete at LG if Lavou wasn't healthy. You guys had it set in stone the Long will win the LG job in training camp and he didnt. You were wrong on that one. You guys are taking my Tm comments when he was De and it was months ago. Cant apply them to today b/c his position has changed and there are key injuries. TM is making the most out of his opportunities this year. He is taking advantage of the JG injury and now the RK injury. Hopefully RK is not out too long.

All I know is that the two biggest plays on defense this year was the S. Cravens int vs the Giants and the Norman pick today. Both of these plays won games for us.

You were clamoring that Kujo was going to be better last season.

I believed Long would beat out Lauvao for the G spot, and I still think he is the better option. Perhaps the work at C did affect this race as well. The OL sure looked better today with Long in the lineup, granted it was at C.

Nobody is taking your TM comments out of context. We all understand your comments, but you fail to understand we all say TM is just a football player. Not flashy but a solid contributor. He is the kind of guy you want on your team because he is a team player. He is currently on pace for 16 sacks, something JG and RK have never come close to. Nobody expects him to achieve that mark, but he could get double digit sacks which is fantastic. That is something a healthy Gallette and a healthy RK would be happy with.

My comments for TM was that he is a backup ST player. I said he could possibly get cut at the time when they asked him to add weight and move to DE. That was a long time ago and a lot has changed but you guy always bring that up. As a Redskins fan Im glad he is playing solid football for us.

You have to remember we played the Browns today. So you really cant grade the oline. The real question would be when all healthy (sully, lavou, and Long) who starts and who sits? The team already said that they like Lavo better at LG but again an injury opens up things for Long just like last year.

You thought he should be cut...not that he is just a backup/ST guy. You were the only one that thought there was even a chance he would be cut...we didn't believe think TM is great but we also understood he was a solid team player. Is he the second best defensive player on the team right now?

All I can go by is what we see. Did the OL look a lot better today? Did we look good with Lauvao out there? I also realize that LICH is gone and forced them to play Long...but he outplayed anything Lich has come close to. Zero penalties, zero pressures, and the best running performance our team has had in a year.

I said possible cut b/c we also had paea at De and there was a logjam at De in training camp. No one forecasted the Paea cut in training camp. Plus hood was having a good camp. That is why it was possible b/c we new Reyes wouldn't get released b/c he was SM pickup. The oline still had holding penalties.

With RK out how couldnt Tm not produce against a 3rd string QB for Cle?

That's silly as by that logic. Every 1st or 2nd string Redskin defensive player on the field should've made a play against Cleveland's QB because how couldn't they produce against a 3rd string QB for Cleveland.

I personally was thinking other posters were riding you too much about Murphy, therefore I didn't take part in it, Except to ask you one question I believe. But you are bending over backwards to dismiss or downplay what Murphy has done this year it seems.

Dustin Hopkins has been the Skins most consistent player this season. Period. He's perfect on FGs and XPs and is doing his j9b on KOs. After him the next most consistent player has been Trent Murphy. Only 2 players in the league have more sack, 5, than he does at present, 8 players are tied with 4. And only 2 players have more for fum than Murphy. He's on pace for a 16 sack/8 for fum season. On the right team that's legitimate pro bowl, maybe even all pro numbers.

I don't wanna hear no shit about he's only doing it because Galette and RK are hurt. You don't know that and even if true. The NFL is full of stories of players who balled after the player or players in front of them were injured.

Maybe Murphy is punching above his weight class right now. Maybe he's motivated due to his impending FA coming up. Or maybe the work that he did this off-season preparing himself to play DE is paying off. Looking at his college stats at Stanford, He trended upward in every category except one where he had more solo tackles his jr year than he did his sr year, His sr year he finished 1st in the Pac 12 in TFL and 1st in the Pac 12/2nd in the nation is sacks with 15, I remeber his write ups coming out of college saying he wasn't a great pass rusher, but he was a hard worker. Maybe, hopefully that trend is continuing in the NFL. I'll gladly take a not great pass rusher who can average a sack a game.

Norman is our best defensive player hands down. He actually won the game today. What did Murphys sack do today? I think Murphy is playing solid but a game changer? I don't think so. He is getting the opportunity to play b/c of injury you cant deny that.

dean you just wont ever admit you hate TM because of that stupid draft when we picked him over your man crush moses , who by the way was drafted by us as well

we all know what you posted , we all know what we posted , so far you are wrong and now you are sounding petty by minimizing what he is doing

RK has turned into RAK this season and JG will tear an Achilles eating a ham sandwich and is opening a new line of scooters for the mobility impaired
