I'm happy the team I root for gives me hope that a Lombardi is a realistic possibility

The Pats ain't got a chance in hell, they are riddled by injuries and Tommy can't play the pinball machine for four weeks! Damn, only Pats players get hurt, life is so cruel. Say what??

Ravens won't even make the playoffs, so I give them no chance. Even if Tgann says they have the best O-line and front 7 in NFL, I still give them no chance.

Ok, so we could cross those 6 teams off the list this season

Got to love these only x can win the SB after a tremendously flawed team that was far from dominant (outside of defense) just won the SB. This narrative needs to die.

Yep & did anyone pick the Panthers to make the SB prior to last season? Don't think so. Very likely that a somewhat surprise team at least makes a SB run.

If the author of the article wants to put his money where his mouth is, I would take the field at 7 to 1.

Not a factor, PM was not a top 5 qb last yr with the Broncos, and a fair amount of the SB's won have been with lopsided teams...In 2012, our D was ranked 17th when we won our last SB.
In 2000, our O was probably ranked in the 20's, but the D was spectacular.....
Denver won with an outstanding D and sluggish O last yr....TB and on and on.....
I have no problem with the teams this writer picked as top candidates, but you can't tell me that my Ravens, the Colts, Bengals, KC, SD, Giants, Cowboys, Broncos etc, have no chance.....That's absurd and shows this guy is an idiot.....IMO
I can't believe it. I just agreed with everything you wrote in this post.

The common denominator in this list appears to be have a top 5 QB combined with a top ten defense. The only anomalies in recent times have been the G-men.

Steelers defense couldnt stop a college offense. Their offense will be fantastic though. Still I would replace them with the Vikings (and this is coming from a Lions fan).

Also, dont pencil in the Pats for the playoffs just yet. Lots of issues. I am a Pats fan too so... I would replace them with the Bengals.

The biggest thing for me with the Bengals is how big is the loss of Hue Jackson? I am a huge Hue Jackson fan so to me that is the biggest loss even more so than some of the offensive skill players they lost. Need to see if the offense can continue to be one of the most balanced groups and if Dalton can still play at the level he did last year without Jackson by his side.

True, but the whole AFC does not impress me too much. Even the Cowboys look better to me then most of the AFC.

I would say the AFC has a lot of unknown more so than just not looking impressive. I mean if Luck has a bounce back year then the Colts look good. If the Broncos have even an average QB they could look really good. The Chiefs if they can get healthy on defense then they could look really good. The Patriots if they can weather the first month of the year could look really good. If the Steelers have an above average defense then they could look really good. The Bengals always seem to be loaded with talent so have to wait and see if they can take advantage of that. So definitely some huge question marks but my guess is at least 2 or 3 of those teams have those questions answered positively and look good. Remember the AFC has won the last 2 Super Bowls even though both teams were decent underdogs going into the Super Bowl.

I think people are really underestimating the Vikings. I expect them to win the division.

I never said there weren't anomalies and that those other teams don't have a chance.

The top 5 remark was for your post, the no chance was addressing the writer of the article....

Neither Pittsburgh or GB have a Top 10 Defense.
