Perfect example.

Is it cut and dry? No.

But is cousins dirty? I don't think so.

This is not Little League. This is Major League Baseball.

He went hard (which is cool) but he went high

I just had the mlb angle but it looked like the plate wasn't cut off

the fact that Posey didn't have the ball at the time of the collison is making this a grey area call. If Posey holds onto it - it's a great play to try to get the lead run.

Not Cousins fault but Posey standing there without the ball makes it look dirtyish.

The Fish don't have any fans. You can go in hard without launching your body at the catcher (who is giving you the plate, btw).

The bottom line for me is that Cousins and the 3b coach probably knew he was not going to beat a good throw, so his intent was clear. For me, the Fish have to wear this one.

And I agree that the Giants HAVE to hit AT LEAST one fish tomorrow, and maybe even have a bench clearing brawl. I am in 100% support of this. The Giants have to not let other teams pull the power play on them.

But as an outside observer, I see it as a good play by Cousins, it just had a VERY bad outcome.

They do have to hit someone but it has to be on the basepaths. punishment must fit the "crime"
