Maxwell just has the athleticism to recover from his horrible routes.

If he is ever able to read the ball right, he could be GG-level.

Should Pagan be moved back to lead off? He has not been much of an RBI guy, even with the OBP monsters ahead of him.

He is giving sHits the rope to either climb out of the hole or make a noose. It will be his doing, not the team's lack of giving him a chance.
McGIDP is almost at Mendoza, so he's making progress. Small steps and all that...:behindsofa:

sHits hazing Belt about his first HR of the season there at the end of the game.

Belt is clearly having the better year, but sHits does have twice the HRs...

I have to disagree. This is an exaggerated point. If you have ever played outfield, a batted ball can have tremendous amounts of spin, or no spin at all, curving tens of feet. Winds swirl, and can be completely different or much stronger near the stands, moving the ball several feet. A ball batted directly at you is very difficult to judge because you can't see the arc from a side angle.

It is impossible to tell all the time where the ball will land off the crack of the bat. Several "in-flight" adjustments can be necessary.

Sure, I will grant this.

But it seems that every game has has to make a last second big adjustment to make the play. Like I said, he more often than not makes the play. He has amazing athleticism. I just don't see these last second adjustments from other OFs on a regular basis. Blanco LOOKS more fluid out there, for example.

Yeah, just ask Fred Lewis. That's why he was such a terrible OFer.
