Any chance of some help at the deadline? There has to be. Tigers went to Fenway and swept the Sox.......Came home and won two in a row, including last nights Up, Down, Stunner in the bottom of the 9th......The way they did it must surely force Mr. I's hand.....

Teams wait till the last second to decide to dump or buy.......The Tigers just gave Mr. I a reason to buy....Mark my words......They will add someone to this roster.....The question is, is it a big fish or small fish? I'm going with small fish and maybe two small fish, but the Tigers will sign someone.

That is all, get ready for a small fish, I'm using a 1989 closed reel Zebco with a dare devil lure.......

RHP Mike Pelfrey (3-9, 4.98 ERA)
Houston Astros
RHP Dallas Keuchel (6-10, 4.57 ERA)
GAME NOTES
--The Tigers are on a five-game winning streak (including the first two games of this series against Houston) that has helped them gain ground in the American League playoff chase. The Tigers are just one game behind Boston in the chase for the second wild card spot. Detroit is 4.5 games behind Cleveland in the American League Central.
--Mike Pelfrey gave up one run in six innings against Houston on April 15, a 1-0 Tigers loss. Dallas Keuchel was the winning pitcher in that game.
--Keuchel has struggled for parts of this season, but has been much better lately. He's got a 2.14 ERA in his last three starts.
--As Monday's trade deadline nears, reports indicate the Tigers may be interested in starting pitching.

Yankees trade All-Star closer Miller to Indians

The Cleveland Indians, who reportedly traded for Jonathan Lucroy on Saturday night, have pulled off another blockbuster less than 24 hours later, acquiring All-Star reliever Andrew Miller from the New York Yankees for a four-player package that includes top prospects Clint Frazier and Justus Sheffield.

If you are wondering how the Tribe can pick up guys like Lucroy and Andrew Miller using only prospects...look at Baseball America's Mid Season Top 100 Prospect list. The Tribe have 7 players listed. They used a number of those in their two trades. BTW...the Tigers had 0 players on that list.

I see The Muzzer still confuses trading and ''signing'' players. Illitch is going to go out and sign someone? Not this time of year Muzz. :)

I wasn't wondering....I can read and understand how trades are made
Condescending and repetitious seem to be your staples these days. You are sounding more and more everyday like a guy from Florida.

I have Keuchel pitching for my Fantasy Team tonight and my game is close. I hope the Tigers light him up like the Fourth of July. Real Tigers over Fantasy Team any day.
