The difference in Darvish and Ryan to me would be that Nolan could strike a lot of guys out and still go very deep into games. That is not a slight towards Yu. Nolan was a very special physical specimen and he was from a different era.

I guess the point about depth into games is what sorta-started this conversation to begin with. But I'll let you do the math....Ryan threw 5386 innings compared to Yu's 571 to date...........Which is 807 GS vs 88.

I honestly wonder/question if the old school guys using a completely different of muscles in the off season didn't help em really......Baseball didn't pay squat back in those days, and wasn't really a full-time-job. Ryan installed AC units in the off-season a few years.

i'm hearing two different things regarding Sale. Sources are claiming that JD got even more aggressive with the offer for Sale today and included a player previously he said he wouldn't. But I'm also hearing that Sale is rumored to be sick, which is why he was pulled. A lot of speculation at this point.

I'm hearing the same thing now. One said an Unnamed White Sox source told John Morsi that he had been scratched. Another site is saying because of illness.
