They probably feel they can be more competitive for now having Ingram come off the bench. Same for the Heat, at some point we know Winslow is going to be the starter in Miami at the 2/3. For now, you have a quality player coming off the bench.

Hmmmmm.....okay. I could see Ingram coming off the bench for a season or 2 but eventually he is going to need to start. We'd have to sign Parsons to a short deal. Not too concerned because Memphis is also interested and he may go there instead.

As everyone knows I'm totally unbiased when talking about the Lakers (BULLSHIT!) I gotta say I really like where the they are right now. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

It's not necessarily a bad thing missing out on the big FAs. Embrace the youth movement. They may already have their superstar. It's just going to take some time to develop.

I agree. So far without seeing Ingram play one NBA minute, he's projected to have a higher ceiling than Parsons. In the meantime, you have a solid wing rotation if you pull Parsons. Especially considering that Ingram can play the 4 in small ball lineups as well as the 3, as well as Parsons who can play positions 2-4. In the transition to positionless basketball goes; it's not a bad move.

The Lakers are also interested in Batum and are trying to land a meeting with Conley.

Batum would be a great signing. He would be a nice veteran presence for the youth. He's versatile, so you could play him at multiple spots. Good defender and perimeter shooter.

If we sign Conley.....let Clarkson walk and play Russell at SG.

I'm guessing the thinking is bring Clarkson off the bench. No need to let him go elsewhere. Conley is a longshot IMO anyway.

Why are they trying to win now? I thought Buss wanted to make sure the 6ers got another high lottery pick next year.

I am just stunned Marvin Williams is going to get 16-18 million per season. He's a role player.....worth 8-9 million, max imo.

Top 3 protected. The Lakers could very well be in position to hold onto it again.

Everyone is getting about double what they should. Williams is solid though.

Owners have zero restraint.

Next year it is not protected. I am fairly certain of that although I did not look it up.

Noah could be perfect in NY. Provide defense and rebounding while Rose and Melo do most of the scoring.

He has a relationship with Melo and Rose....think they're going for chemistry.
and its his home town. As a Bulls fan they can have him for that price. He isnt worth it but he will help the knicks. Just not as much as they think.

Depends on the length of the contract. If it's a short term deal, he may be worth it because of his hustle and what he can teach a young guy like Porzingis.

I would have zero problem if the Lakers paid him that much per year on say a 3 year deal with a team option on year 3. What he could teach the Lakers youngsters about being a professional would be invaluable. Plus, he can still play a bit.
