It's a totally contrived, bogus question designed to stir up controversy or find some faintly negative slant on the epic season Bryce Harper is having. The one legitimate comment was that Harper does need to show he can sustain this kind of performance over the next 2-3 years. If he stays healthy and delivers on that potential, then I think the answer "flips" to Harper. Hands down.

TINY sample size here, but a sign of the kind of respect Harper is getting from pitchers.
Bryce's stats are very good but not mind boggling at this point, .250/.400/.679.
But, if you looks at his splits, He is perfect with RISP...yep, 2 for 2, a double and a HR (grand slam).
AND, he has been walked 5 times in that situation, with 2 of those being intentional.
So, 5 of 7 PAs with RISP, he has gotten a free pass. And he has killed the ball the other two times for 6 RBIs.
With a runner on first only, he is 2 for 4 with both hits being doubles.

Pitchers generally are not giving Harper shit to hit with runners on, and he is making them pay when they do pitch to him.

There's a pretty big disparity between Fangraphs and BB-Ref (56.0 WAR) on Damon. I wouldn't call him a HOFer either way.
