But why are they piece-milling the punishment info? They normally come out and make a big splash and announce everyone's penalty at the same time.

If Bautista gets nothing or close to nothing then the next time someone slides hard in retaliation and the middle infielder gets hurt badly then that injury is on Torre and Manfred. They had a chance here to be proactive and do something before a major injury happens and failed. MLB just never gets it.

I was as happy as anyone to see Bautista get his bell rung but I hope this isn't a sign of things to come with Rougie. I think he had some issues like this in the minors too. Can't have him missing games like this much, especially if they commit to him and end up trading Profar like there has been talk about

Neli Cotts is exercising his opt out from the Angels. If they don't put him on the big league roster is anyone interested in him. He has thrown 13 2/3 innings at Triple-A, posting a 3.29 ERA with 8.6 K/9 and 2.0 BB/9.

JD earlier mentioned if a player is suspended then you cannot replace them on the roster. Now with Elvis gone one game Rangers play with a 23 man roster tonight. Ok Alberto covers down on one middle inf position. Who covers down on the other? Rua? Bush?

Let EA go ahead and take his one game and be done with it.

But surely Odor is going to appeal the 8 games he got, and thus, he'll be able to play for the immediate future.

The first one wasn't a hard slide, he just grabbed the guys foot as he slid by, illegal but not hard
