The Frazier/Phillips option at Nebraska is about a good of an option combination in my watching days of college football.

That team was unstoppable.

Cept off the field of course. They had a lot of troubled players. Christian Peter had his time with the law off that team too.

You know I kinda wonder if the new of Rams coming back to LA might of set things in motion with him. I mean it`s not like prison is not depressing enough, your looking at possible death sentence for killing cellmate and then this news comes up and maybe he started thinking how he just wasted his life and his opportunity he had with Rams/NFL/life and it just was too much for him. I don`t know but the timing seems a tad coincidental. I know if I was in his position and those memories came flooding back to me, I would be horribly depressed. Very sad indeed.

Randymon, I thought the same thing with the Rams returning to LA ..

Speaking of the Texans. Seems they should really hit up the O market this off-season.

Hoyer really failed in the playoffs after looking serviceable but upgradeable.

I don't believe Tom Savage is their answer at QB.

They also should add a RB although Alfred Blue did pretty well this year.

They didn't get much production from their TE's or any WR opposite Hopkins which included Cedcil Shorts or Nate Washington. Their OL was ugly at times too. They need a lot of work on offense.

Defensively though I was impressed as they showed this year they are a lot more than just JJ Watt. Really to me if they can get that QB position figured out they could be a very tough team to beat next year. I will say the AFC South while still struggling this year does have some signs that they are finally becoming more than just the Colts.

Their D is pretty decent... Need to get better in the secondary still, but they have a pretty solid front 7. Be nice to see them add a ballhawk to the secondary to go along with Kevin Johnson and Kareem Jackson. I wonder if they would go after a S like Eric Weddle. He would be a great fit.

I could definitely see that. So DC who is your favorite QB in this draft? I'm actually going to throw a name out there that I am sure I will get torn apart for as very few have really heard of this kid but I actually like Jake Rudock of Michigan. He played in a pro style offense under a guy known for really helping QB's develop in Harbaugh. He played in what I would call a very West Coast 3-drop hit the slant style that many of the coaches in the NFL really enjoy. Actually watching him I kept thinking he is that next Michigan QB that surprises some people. He doesn't have the greatest arm strength by any means but I did see him make most NFL style throws with decent accuracy. His receivers and OL didn't help him out as much as they could have for sure but I think if he gets with the right coach he could become a decent starting QB in this league.

I ask that just thinking of who Houston will have as their Starting QB this next year. Not really liking this draft a ton. Every one of the QB's probably need at least a year on the bench.

DC, I am bring this back up because I have been reading about Foster, and I have changed my mind ..

I would like to see the Broncos take a look at him

Foster is a fascinating guy, and I had no idea about how he looks at health and his body

I think he, if anyone, can heal up and produce a few more productive seasons ... He approaches health a very different way, and I think he's definitely worth taking a look at ..

Always respect a man who can admit he changes his mind... #Respect.

Not saying I am dying for Foster, but it just seems to make too much sense.

Really don`t think Foster is going to get any deal from any team that is`nt "heavy" on the incentive side like number of games played ,etc. The guaranteed money will have to be friendly also. That said, I still think a "healthy" Foster is one of the best in the game. I just don`t think Foster feels he won`t get paid by some team and will wait it out if he needs to. Some team somewhere will get an injury and then he`ll have much more control over the bargaining table talks.

I'm hoping he wants to win and be put in a position to succeed. That would be denver. A winning team, gonna run the ball, a great place to live, and with coaches he knows and trusts

If we were to sign him it would be on a non-guaranteed contract most likely. So there is no risk and possibly a good return if he is healthy or if nothing else helping train our young RB's on how to handle the system.

Your assuming Foster is ready and willing to sign a contract like that. I'm not so sure. From what I've been hearing he's completely healthy, looking good and very confident. If he was willing to accept that kind of contract,he would be signed by now. If he doesn't get close to what he wants,he knows he can wait till someone loses a key back in preseason and get a contract more to his liking. He can play the waiting game IMO.

He is an older RB with a huge injury history. Teams will wait until after the draft to sign him in my opinion. Also because of those 2 factors even if he is healthy no team is going to commit big guaranteed money to him. Even with injuries because of the RB position being such a dime a dozen these days to me the only contract he can get is a non-guaranteed one where a team can actually see him in practices to see if he still has what it takes.

Yeah I know what your saying Cd and I agree that that will be the issues in talks but I don't think Foster is ready to concede that notion just yet. Reality will rear its head to him soon but I think he's going to wait it out and get a better deal when a team is put in a tough spot with injury.

I agree with Randy (my apologies for cursing your opinion, Randy) but I think Foster will wait until later so he doesn't have to go though the grind of off season workouts. Maybe sign with a team right around the time that preseason games begin.
