its not that Whiteside just doesnt fit in the with the Heat- i dont know how he fits in anywhere with his skill set

where does a center that cant pass, cant shoot, and cant post up fit on offense?
where does a center that is supposedly this defensive maven, where the stats show the team is better without him on the court, fit? Where does a center fit that cant switch on defense? where does a center fit that cant guard out to the 3 pt line because he is too slow? where does a center fit that is too slow to show hard on the high pick and roll and get back to his man thats rolling to the bucket?

you think if they threw a big immobile center somewhere else he would be better? The guy cant even stay on the court against teams that run these small lineups where he is just a fish outta water- thats not a problem for him on the HEat- thats a problem for him in the NBA in 2016...

So you honestly dont think he fits in anywhere in the league? Or are you just typing to see your name? The guy is a double/double and leading the league in blocks. Is he the most complete center in the league? No. If he a top 5-6 center in the league? Yes. But he has to be fit in with the right team/system. Not a PG like Dragic who shoots such a high % of his shots at the rim. Miami put 80 million in Dragic. They have to move one of these two.

I'll make this bet. I bet you Whiteside fits in somewhere in this league and signs a bigger contract than Tristan Thompson is currently under come this offseason. I will bet a year long avatar. You down?

You're right Wiggy. Whiteside should be out of the league. Heat should just cut him now. I'm sure nobody would want him. He will probably have to go back overseas to continue his basketball career.

Whiteside is not wanted man. Heat can cut him now and nobody would think about signing him. If its Wiggy word it must be true.

ill make that bet if you make allowance for an adjustment to the cap in between the two years.

If the cap is 70 million when Tristan signed this last summer---- and next summer when Whiteside signs the cap is going up an NBA record 19 million to 89 million- if you make an allowance for that difference i will without a doubt make that bet with you- however- a year seems a BIT excessive, lol.....if i lose i cant make any more bets- id do a month.

next year Hoford, Conley, DeRozan, Durant, Howard- are going to sign new contracts that will make them ALL higher paid than ANY player in the NBA since Michael Jordan (except maybe Kobe- i know Kobe made 24 this year- did he make MORe before that?). You gotta compare apples to apples.

I think you guys would be better with any number of bigs--- Ryan Anderson would INFINITELY improve your win loss record over Whiteside i believe..... give dragic and wade space to operate...etc.....

82 to 70 is equal to x to 89

70x = (89) (82)

70x = 7298

divide each side by 70

70x /70 = 7298/70

x= 104 approximately.

Apples to Apples? Adjust the numbers? You want to take this bet.. but only after we apply some algebra to Whiteside's contract? What about signing your own free agent vs someone elses? You JUST said you're not sure Whiteside belongs ANYWHERE in the NBA. Then I basically say I bet he gets paid more than 16.5 million a season next year... and you wont take that bet?

Okay, you are talking just to talk. Just to see your name the screen.

My bet is simple.. Whiteside will make more money per season on average for the contract signed starting next year than Tristan Thompson will. This should be an easy win for you since Whiteside might not belong in the NBA.

of course i wouldnt take that bet are you insane? of course a guy is going to get more money when the cap goes up the BIGGEST IT EVER HAS IN NBA HISTORY in one year....are you drunk?
its practically impossible for a free agent not to make INSANE money this offseaso

like i said---- Horford, Conley, Durant, DeRozan, Howard- are ALL going to eclipse the 25M mark in all likelihood- something that i dont believe has happened since Jordan roamed Chicago and made like 34 million a year (unless like i said- kobe did it before he signed this 24 a year deal)

in a year where the cap goes up by the most in history- and guys like DeRozan and Conley are going to be the highest paid players in OVER a decade of NBa play and you dont see how that has a HUGE freaking effect?

GMAFB...i actually thought you might have some brains but apparently not.

of course not 16.4 million on a 70 million salary cap is SO FREAKING different on an 89 million cap its not even funny....give me the percentage increase and i will GLADLY take it though.

to make no allowance for the biggest cap jump in the history of the sport is ridiculous.

of course i believe it thats why i am willing to bet you- but im not going to bet you when the table is slanted so far your way....either its a bet on a level playing field or there is no bet.

Whiteside shouldn't get 5 million, let alone 16 mil since he does not belong in the NBA

So youre not sure he belongs in the NBA. But are pretty sure he will be in the NBA making over 16.5 million next year. That makes complete sense if you dont think about it.

when did i say he didnt belong in the league? and since when do general managers act rationally? Billy King until recently was a general manager in the national basketball association- and Jimmy Dolan and Jimmy Buss have significant control of basketball operations of their teams- lol--- not exactly the Harvard MBAs that run OKC etc......

but i will GLADLY TAKE THAT BET IN A NEW YORK MINUTE if it was done to adjust the difference in cap from year to year to put it on a level playing field.

shit- i have had to listen to turnup whine about the vote count for 2 days- do you guys not believe in your guy? you think he needs that much help to get more money than Tristan? LOL --- PATHETIC....:dhd:

and just so you arithmatically challenged were trying to figure it out---- 82 million like tristans deal under a 70 million cap- is equal to 104 million on an 89 million cap----- all though- Im not SURE if Whiteside can even get a 5th year--- if not it would have to be adjusted for a 4 year contract....wouldnt be hard to do the math though if you guys sack up

he would have to get 21 million a year for 4 years for a total of 84 million- LESS than a max contract.....still sackless?

i would think on its face that might be a fair assumption- but from the statistical stuff that I have read- at least with Love who has been there all year- he has some pretty solid advanced stats....would take some research. As guys that are among the best offensive players in the NBA- it would not surprise me if when they were replaced by solid defensive players like Delly, Thompson, Mozzy etc. that it would go down....lets see....
