I read an article by a guy in Miami that said the Royals won't win this season. Since he has been wrong the last two years, I assumed the Royals were a lock this season as well.

OH...there is also the toothless guy from Ann Arbor who picked the Royals for last.....and he hasn't been right in any of his predictions since the Reagan years.

I am wondering about Norris' status going into spring training. Does the club see him being ready by Opening Day? I see rotation predictions for Detroit that leave him off the 5 man rotation, but I also see him listed as either the #4 or #5 starter. Without Norris (or any of the other 4 starters) it appears Detroit will start to dip into a pool of pitchers named Farmer, Greene, Boyd. Deja-vu
Where? Please post.

Cool... I will check in later.. hopefully you post these phantom articles declaring the Royals the favorites... or show us where you got the idea the Tigers were moving Fulmer to closer.

Obviously, a young guy like Norris could take a step back, and someone like Shane Greene could rebound and take his spot. But for now, Norris is planned as the #4 or #5 guy, with the likelihood of a max innings limit.

Norris was the top left handed pitching prospect in all of baseball last year according to mlb.com. I am not expecting him to be Cy Young.. but I most certainly think he will have numbers that are at least around what he did last year when he was pitching with the stress of knowing he needed offseason surgery for cancer.

I agree that Holaday could be a useful backup catcher for some team....but the Tigers will have a hard time trading him for any value. Just my guess....wait until the end of spring training, DFA him (if not needed), if he gets claimed, get the best you can in a deal (i.e. minor league player) or take cash. The two pitchers mentioned in the article....I wonder if they still have options available? Neither would seem to be a sure lock to make the 25 man roster, even if the Astros or Rangers would give them up for Holaday.

Re: Fulmer:

Michael Fulmer - Detroit Tigers - 2016 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

Michael Fulmer is the Tigers' top prospect in 2016

(From above):Fulmer suffered a litany of injuries in 2013 and 2014, limiting him to just 382 2/3 innings across four minor league seasons. He only logged 124 2/3 innings last season, and will need two or three injury-free seasons just to build up the stamina to reach his 200-inning potential. If injury concerns continue to mount, Fulmer may be reduced to a relief role. He may still be successful in that role -- he has the stuff to be a dominant closer -- but it would be a disappointment given his lofty potential as a starting pitcher.

(I forgot the site):The new general manager did stress, though, that starting pitching remains the priority. He also added that Detroit could also shift those starters who don’t make the rotation into the pen, possibly including recent trade addition Michael Fulmer, as Jason Beck of MLB.com tweets.

Keep digging iffy.... just because fulmer pitches out of the pen this year doesn't mean he won't be a starter moving forward... David Price pitched out of the pen his rookie year..

Vice....time for the "head out the window". Shake those cobwebs out. Like the Trump....you have been put in second place, here and by others today. You need to get out, meet the people, see the sun, hear about happy times, and good events. You are so tied up in this crap...you don't see that you are getting played...and burned.
