Alabama is somewhere near the Sudan and Syria on rankings of vacation destinations.

Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Payne, Huntsville, Talladega National Forest, DeSoto Caverns... visit these places and tell me they are comparable to Syria and Sudan.

Unemployment rate? That's all you got? Never mind getting mugged at gun/knife point if you wander into the wrong part of Detroit, which is like 85% of the city.
You do realize that the murder rate is higher in Alabama than it is in Michigan right?

If by "one of the largest tourist states," you mean 31st, then you're absolutely right.

Seriously, do you ever know anything?

LOL... you do realize they get their info from HOTEL BOOKINGS RIGHT? Many tourists A) don't stay in hotels B) Don't book hotels online

HotelsCombined, a hotel booking site, produced an infographic that shows the most popular US states to travel to. They analyzed more than 87,000 hotel bookings that originated in the US to determine which states are the most popular tourism destinations.

And Alabama is ranked 14th!!!! Try again!!! :laugh3:

Michigan has some absolutely gorgeous places, but given all the massive tourist destinations in the country, someone would have to be retarded to think that Michigan is a top tourist destination state.

Based on the info from a hotel booking site... LOL Do your research about Michigan. Huge amounts of its tourism comes from people that own vacation property there.

To think the Great Lakes are not one of the major tourist attractions is like saying the fucking grand canyon isn't one of the main tourist attractions.

The info I provided, while probably not perfect, is significantly better than your retarded speculation.

"Hotel bookings is a horrible way to look at where people are staying." Seriously, I hope you have keepers responsible for keeping you from harm.

No, it's not. Also, the grand canon is one place. Michigan only has a percentage of "Great Lakes tourism."

Michigan has BY FAR the largest percentage of Great Lakes tourism... Being it is surrounded by them idiot. Most states only touch one or two.

Even if their estimation proves true, I don't consider 8th a "top tourism state." Look at the difference between the top three and #8. The top three average a estimated 97MM visitors Michigan 38MM.

Ohio is 7th on your list. I don't consider it a top tourist state because I'm not retarded.
8th out of 50 is most certainly a top tourist spot... and Ohio most certainly is a tourist state.. as disgusting as it is.. because of places like the NFL HOF, the Rock and Roll HOF, and fucking Cedar Point.

Eight states and two countries have access to the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes make up a large percentage of Michigan's border, but Michigan does not make up a large percentage of the Great Lakes total coastline.

You are my play toy.
