What down was it? I can't even remember anymore. If it was first down, it's even more unforgiveable. Thanks for letting Tom Brady catch Joe Montana.

2nd Down.

Lynch ran for 5 on 1st down.

Didn't play well enough to win. Required something that happens like 1 out of 100 times (miracle). MN with one of the worst bed shettings ever. They lucked into the next round. We all saw it. But...the better team doesn't always win. I'm sure they will beat CAR by like 20 now lol.

Are you saying Minny is the better team? Or Minny played better today?

Most definitely that they played better today.

As to who is better overall, I'll concede that's debatable. Both sides would have their points. MN could point to winning their division (SEA did not) and having more wins so far as indisputable important facts go.

You're right. Losing two head to head match ups at home by a combined 32 points? Purely circumstantial evidence of team quality.

Seattle's close low scoring win could be scary but then again Minnesota had already played them and as I have pointed out before with Arizona Seattle played their hand the first time.

lol ... Bevell is the guy who made the call, HE"S a stubborn mule... He even said later he doesn't regret the call, HOW THE #$^@ do you not regret that ? You have a bruising back like Lynch and you don't use him knowing you have 3 chances to pound it in ... He told a reporter that interviewed him later that he thought it was the right call because nobody saw it coming..... #@$^@! you Bevell ... We also threw it to one of our least sure handed receivers on the play... It was DUMB DUMB DUMB ... But hey, life rolls on .... You can't go backwards... I"m sure you guy's felt some pain on the last second New York drives.. it's not like New York didn't catch some crazy breaks with the game in the balance...

3 crazy ass catches in 3 SB's for NE and fortunately one of them didn't cost then the game.

Puhleeze.

You are going to hang your hat on "by a combined 32 points?"?????

The Minnesota FG kicker gifted you a win, the least you could do is show some humility.

2nd Down.

Lynch ran for 5 on 1st down.

1st and goal from the 5, Lynch off tackle for 4 yards.

2nd and one from the 1 yard line and the rest is history.

ya could look it up.

Except for the hold by Ray Finkle in the last seconds I'd say yes.

Just kidding, the kicker choked. No other way to explain it.

Today....YES. EVER, no way. They have been screwed by calls throughout their history.
It is NICE to see a team actually blow it. Not sure that has happened many times.

Like last year, NE was the luckiest team in the History of the NFL when that slant pass was thrown.
See, it works both ways.
Or like the Kearse juggling catch? It works both ways. I call that series a wash.

Try to learn something here, ok?
How would you try to beat Minny? Slowing down AP should be #1, right? AP ran 23 times for 45 yards. Zero TD's. Mission accomplished.
In 2 games the Seattle D held Minny to a total of 16 points, in their house.
Seattle's offense struggled mightily and I truly think RW was affected by the cold more than anyone on our team.
Weather situations were terrible playing in one of the coldest games in history. Minny had a chance to win it and blew it. Simple as that.

Better overall? In the last month or so Seattle beat Minnesota in their own house twice.
Oh shit! That's right, I forgot about your book.
In your book Seattle is 9-7 because you do not count the Seahawks game against Detroit as a victory. WTIM, you wouldn't count this as a victory either.
Methinks your book is a little fucked up.

Would be a story book ending if Zona lost to the Pack next week on a missed FG to end the game for the Cards... Then we could open a thread that says, "Are the Cardinals the unluckiest team in NFL history?"

Point is, he should be concerned about his team next week... Dude doesn't make sense most of the time... Not sure why you guys keep going back and forth with him...

Sometimes I like to smack the heavy bag around. Not the old bag, mind you. She is prepping dinner.

In all seriousness name a team that has had more bounces go their way? I honestly can't think of one. Willing to discuss honest opinions.
First I don't think Seattle fans can use the dumb call to lose the SB last year as an argument. That was their teams call. IMHO calling a pass play was genious. The problem was they called the slant. Had they called a RW roll out I think we're having a different discussion.
How about the fail Mary call or the Bostic bonehead play trying to catch the onside kick last year?
The Kearse juggling catch to set up the potential worst call ever.
The so called missed field goal by the Pats right after the "real" refscame back.
The Vikes missed FG today.
The RW scramble play and throw to Lockett. RW makes a great athletic play that 90% or > of the QBs in the league can't make. But come on it's another broken play. To get anything from a broken play in the NFL is lucky.
Serious debates only.
I realize there are more but these just stand out. I also realize the Hawks have been screwed on occassion see SB refs in 06. But we're not talking the bad/unlucky breaks or bad penalty calls/no calls. That would cause the internet to implode if every team discussed those:nod:

Anytime the team playing the Seahawks screw up, it's the Seahawks being lucky.

Anytime the Patriots play a team that screws up, that's the Patriots playing good football.
