I think we will see a lot of Pierre Thomas with Matt Jones hurt if we were to lose Morris to an injury we would be in trouble

I think Pierre Thomas has taken Chris Thompsons job he can run and catch passes
All season we've seen rotation. Don't see that stopping myself.

Also Chris handles some return duties.

Still no respect. We're listed as 3.5 point 'dogs in the Cowboys game. That might be a function of the oddsmakers view that we're resting starters. But they don't know who we're resting and they know the Cowboys are starting Kellen Moore and won't have Dez Bryant at WR.

Let's kill 'em.

Really means we are .5 dogs in this one as the home team gets 3 points just for being the home team in most cases.

But I agree, there needs to be a new mudhole stomped in Jerry World.

Yeah, but other teams are road favorites this week (e.g, NE is giving away 11.5 @ Miami). I can't imagine why we aren't prohibitive favorites. This almost makes me want to start everyone and stomp on Mr. Glory Hole.

More disrespect (from ESPN). According to its Football Power Index, which runs 1,000 game simulations between two opponents in a particular week, the Cowboys win about 55% of the time.

Of course, they predicted the same with the Eagles as well. So much for that crap index.

Here's the link: Redskins vs. Cowboys - Game Summary - January 3, 2016 - ESPN

Update: as the link shows, the Cowboys are now four point favorites.

IM fine with us being under dogs. The only respect I want this team to get is at the end of the game with a win. I have even see articles saying the Packers and Vikes should both try to LOSE this week so that they get to play us as apposed to the Sea Hawks in week one of the playoffs.

As I have said before, I dont think this is like 2012 where we live and/or die based on a single player. This team is different. Now I do think we might have found an answer at QB for a while going forward. But if for some reason Colt has to come into the game, I dont see the entire team wilting as they did in 2012.

For the next two weeks we are playing with house money. No one expected us to be here. I expect Dallas to come out and give us every thing they got. Because for all intents, this is their Super Bowl 2015. After that, even if we beat Dallas, I expect we will get very little respect going into the playoffs.....

I wouldnt have it any other way.

Firing Garrett would cost $24 million dollars. Right now he could walk into Jerrys office, tell him he tanked the final game for the draft pick, then proceed to Boink Jerrys wife, daughter and favorite pet on his desk... and he is still safe for two more years.

I think the daughter thing would be going over the line. A top notch hit-man is also a lot cheaper than 24 million. Jerrah pays a hitter a cool 100Gs and pockets the other 23,900,000 over a daughter boinking.

I really hope we win to go 9-7. Not only will that be a winning record, it's far better than 8-8, getting swept by Dallas, and losing momentum going into the playoffs. I just don't see how we lose to a hobbit QB they got from The Shire who's throwing to a bunch of #3 WRs.

I dont know dude, have you seen Charlotte lately? That might be considered taking one for the team and actually get him an extension.

The Skins team withstood wilting pretty well when KC started and played the Cleveland game in place of Griffin back in 2012.

IMO Griffin gets too much credit for 2012. There were a lot of contributors and at very key times in back in 12.

Breed... i was at that game. The minute Griffin went down for that final time, you could hear a mouse fart from the national cathedral. I agree alot had to happen, but I dont think the team, coaches or fan base quite knew how to recover in that moment.

And I think all three groups would react differently now.

that's just pure hate right there. 2012 was pretty much all RG3. Pre 2012 and post-injury RG3 version of the Skins were shit teams. Hate on the guy or not, but he led the Skins to that NFC East title. It's easy to rip on the guy now, but let's not get carried away here.

Actually I agree with Breed about this. I have started to mention it a number of times but I get accused of being a Cousin's apologist enough. :kissass: Skins looked pretty much done when Griffin got hurt against the Ravens. Cousins led them to the tying score and although it was Crawford's punt return that set up the winning FG they had no chance without Cousin's leading them to the tieing score. As Breed mentioned Cousin's did lead them to a win against the Browns (yes I know it was the Browns) but without those two wins there are no playoffs.

You also didn't mention Morris and his 1,600+ yards. Redskins beat Dallas late that year on Morris 200 yard rushing game vs. Griffin's 100 yards passing. Being fair to Robert he was hurt then and not playing like he had earlier.

Clearly it wasn't all Griffin. He was biggest part of it all but he did not do it alone.

Alf set a new Skins rushing record of 1600+ yards at almost 5 yards a pop, the defense came up with big plays at key times, Kai went 17/18 on FGs. A HUGE pt ret from Richard Crawford probably at the most opportune time that year against Baltimore, KC balled out in his only starting gig against Cleveland. Hell, the Redskins scored as many TDs on 12 Gfiffin fumbles, 2 TDs, as opponents recoveries, 2. The Skins went 9 and 1 in the 10 games Garcon played in. that year.

You're right. Lets not get carried away. Griffin led the Skins to the NFC East title and playoffs in 2012, but he had help and it came at real key times.
