"I can't breathe", although the ranking officer on the scene was a black woman (Sgt) and didn't call off the other cops. She got immunity by the way.

My favorite is still the Gardner case.

They ignored the fact he was resisting as if it played no part.

The DA and media ignored the fact that there was no damage to his throat and he died hours later yet they only charged the one cop for the chokehold.

They ignored the fact that the coroner's report cited not only the actions of the police, and all of the police not just the one guy they charged, as contributing to his his death along with his heart disease and obesity.

Not one media outlet mentioned the Sgt in charge was a woman of color or that she'd been given immunity to give her statement.

They ignored the fact that by the time Gardner was saying "I can't breathe" the choke hold had long been removed and it was really the pile on by all the cops that probably caused the death.

And then they ignored the protests because NY'ers aren't dumb enough to burn down their own neighborhoods and homes. God forbid they cover a peaceful protest and show the Ferguson's of the world how it's actually done.

That Sgt was responsible and should have been the one charged. The buck stops with the person in charge
