Oh completely. But CC was also going to be in the ALDS rotation. Now they would have to start who, Warren(?) instead? And "leadership" is overrated, but I think of CC as one of the guys that the team rallies around. The whole thing is really weird. It's nice that he waited until the last day of the season to quit on his team, though, because he's already got his salary for the year. The playoff per-diem is a huge pay cut for him.

It is true that he is loved in the clubhouse and the De-Facto Captain since your boy retired......He did have a 2.17 ERA in September, and could have actually been a useful lefty out of the pen also.......Warren would get that start, so it hurts them in the sense if they do win tonight, Warren would have been a key bridge in the pen to Betances and Miller......

Yeah, I wasn't laughing when I tried to explain to Mrs Redfoot why I came back from the liquor store with a bottle of bourbon that I don't drink.

It is a shame. The Tribe made some serious improvements to Jacob's Field. I've been to a lot of parks, and it's pretty high on the list.

I was really surprised to see those attendance figures. I don't think of CLE as a team with poor fan support. And there are certainly much worse ballparks/teams out there.

He wont...Id like to see him and Gardner packaged this winter for a useful (not great of course) player, maybe a nice arm for the pen, or a useful OF

Gardner and Ellsbury are completely redundant players, and I dread having to watch them at the top of the order next year

Im assuming Ellsbury is untradeable, thats why I dont include him, Gardner should have some value
