There are widespread reports that football was on life support earlier today and Robert Kraft selflessly took the sport upon his mighty, benevolent and most importantly humble shoulders. Not only did he invent the game but he continues to "save it" on a daily basis.

1) No player was more resolute that Spygate had affected games than Hines Ward, the Steelers' All-Pro wide receiver. Ward told reporters that Patriots inside information about Steelers play calling helped New England upset Pittsburgh 24-17 in the January 2002 AFC Championship Game. "Oh, they knew," Ward, now an NBC analyst who didn't return messages for this story, said after Spygate broke. "They were calling our stuff out. They knew a lot of our calls. There's no question some of their players were calling out some of our stuff."

2) Panthers were convinced that their practices had been taped prior to Super Bowl XXXVIII, and that offensive coordinator Dan Henning changed their game-plan at halftime. “Our players came in after that first half and said it was like [the Patriots] were in our huddle,” a Panthers source told ESPN. “Do I have any tape to prove they cheated?. No. But I’m convinced they did it.”

3) When Spygate broke, some of the Eagles now believed they had an answer for a question that had vexed them since they lost to the Patriots 24-21 in Super Bowl XXXIX: How did New England seem completely prepared for the rarely used dime defense the Eagles deployed in the second quarter, scoring touchdowns on three of four drives? The Eagles suspected that either practices were filmed or a playbook was stolen. "To this day, some believe that we were robbed by the Patriots not playing by the rules ... and knowing our game plan," a former Eagles football operations staffer says.

Rams?

This is what 4 different organization's have said.

I'm sorry. To me these are all still players trying to rationalize why they lost. Everyone of them. All gut feels and the like which I'm sure they believe to this day.

Hines Ward is particularly full of crapola even though he was most certainly a very good player. The absolute key plays of that game were two special team scores.. Punt return and a block field goal? (IIRC). 14 points. Tell me how the Patriots stole that one..

Hey I'm just telling you what someone on the LOS was saying. I doubt a guy like Hines would come out and make that kind of thing up. Hines was a tough SOB and not the crybaby type at all.

But of course every team proclaiming this against the Pats are just "sour grapes" and there is absolutely no truth to it at all. :bullshit:

The Patriots called screen after screen all second half. Definite cheating. But McNabb fucked the whole game up in the first half anyway. That's what stings most.

Again complete HS. The screens were a reaction to the Eagle defense which had held the Patriots offense under control in the second half. They only ran 3 screens in row and few after but it set the Eagle on it's heels.

Half time adjustments happen in every football game. But the only way the Patriots could do such a thing is by cheating. Got it.

He's a human being. After Spygate, I'm sure Hines feels a lot better thinking it was the Patriots cheating rather than the two special team screwups.

With Philly they'd prefer it was due to the Patriots stealing their signals rather than the slow and deliberate burning up of the clock by Reid and McNabb.

Yes all the Patriots success is due to the Patriots cheating. Offensive signals, defensive signals they stole them all.

Whatever makes you feel better I guess. People tend to not believe 1 team, but when you throw in 3 or 4 or 5.. then people start to wonder. I wouldn't say all of your success was from cheating, but many people are wondering how much of an advantage the Pats had.

There are too many smoking guns to count really. Problem is Goodell is a boob and let it all get out of hand.

"Beat me in Court and I'll have ESPN write a mean article about something from 10 years ago"

Worst Commissioner Ever
its really sad...maybe even pathetic...how the saps here are lapping it up again.

"why would the league have a witch hunt for their best player coming off a superbowl? it makes no sense!"

ring a bell?

We might find out tomorrow. Only people in the immediate Boston area are privy to that kind of insider information. The rest of 'Murica has to be content with national media outlets getting scooped.
that is the actual truth. ive proven that 50 times at least with scoops before national outlets.

we're from here, we hear it first.

This was after Spygate so it provided a good reason for a lot of losses. No? That's what I'm saying. Certain games you can't deny a loss but if it was close or you were expected to win, it helps ease the pain. imo of course.

It was after. But I don't see grown men like Hines Ward crying about it unless they think there is some truth to it.

And to say it's not true and the Pats weren't cheating is a bit of a reach anyway. The truth is the truth.

Deflategate investigation took 260+ days
Spygate investigation took 4 days and they destroyed the evidence.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out why this is and why it was covered up.

Stealing signals is probably only a tiny advantage.
Knocking out the headsets is probably only a tiny advantage.
Deflating a football a small amount is probably only a tiny advantage.
Supplying the visitor's team with warm sports drinks is probably only a tiny advantage.
Not giving the NFL a true injury report is probably only a tiny advantage.

Tiny advantage + Tiny advantage + Tiny advantage + Tiny advantage + Tiny advantage = pretty significant advantage.
