If you Training Camp PUP, can you still bring in the 2 CB guys we did?Colts are obviously a bit more secure in the idea of who will make their 53, thus they can afford to burn a 90 man roster spot on a guy who they will likely just IR later on.
My concern is, why not list him as PUP and then IR him later??

Saw an exchange about this by Keim today but didn't fully understand it. Made it sound like it was uncommon for other teams to pick up injury waivers. And was a normal move to pick up another player who was uninjured.I thought you could, but maybe that rule is why we had to waive him injured.

Here's part of that convo from KeimIts very unusual for teams to pick up injured guys. As I said, the colts must not be too worried about burning an active roster spot through the preseason in order to put him on IR. Basically means they ride with 89 from now until first cuts
