Wow! Yeah, pretty bad. There is not a team I dislike more than the Angels so would love to see us win the series. But, yeah, you know.

...........Pretty much, Anything LA is not my cup of tea, then throw in that narcissistic SOB Wilson, and I'm driven to being completely ill-rational about the Angels.

I'd love to see us sweep them, but hope this wouldn't have any great effect on how mgmt views the rest of this season.

Here's some more "info" on how poorly Lewis has done against the Angels.

Lewis has lost his last six starts against the Angels with an 11.35 ERA, giving up at least seven earned runs three times. He allowed 10 runs and 12 hits -- including a homer to Albert Pujols -- in four innings of a 12-6 loss July 5.

But tonight may be the night when he gets back on track against them.

I'm assuming because we don't have a #1 to start the year next year. I'll admit the idea of Yu, Hamels, Holland, Perez, and ??? has nice appeal. It all depends on the cost. If Alfaro has to be included, then no. I'm ok with Mazara going just because we have so many lefties and Nick Williams will be right behind him.

I'm not either and PDay made a good point concerning our next year rotation. The BP is a high priority and we should not overlook the importance of getting it fixed. I feel that is big on JD's plate.

Hamels has had an ERA no better than 3.60 in 2 of the last 3 years in the NL. Those are not the numbers of an ace. I don't think spending primo prospects and primo dollars on a pitcher who very well might not have an ERA better than Yu, Derek, or Martin next year is the way to build a team. Hamels ranks 31st this year amongst NL pitchers with a minimum of 80 innings in ERA. Our money and prospects can be spent much more wisely.
