I'd add nick martinez and Wandy, simply b/c most people didn't expect much, Odor is about where we expected or probably will be soon after a terrible start

I'd even add Fielder to that list actually, he's changed his approach quite a bit but he's still providing results if not HRs liek we expected
hard to say about Odor..kinda like elvis, I prefer better than average on the d-side with offense being the bonus at those positions.
I thought about Fielder but didn't like the projections over 162...even if he matched the first half. Driving the ball is what he is...or was?
Wandy wasn't even in the equation and certainly looks to be borrowed time as the season progresses. Martinez was outstanding and then adjustments were made and a book established. It will be interesting to see if he has the stuff & moxie to respond.

The question was up to this point and having performed to expectations, not how they would perform going forward

Given that Fielder barely played last year and didn't play all that well, I think you have to begin your expectations there

Odor has looked much better at the plate overall probably still below expectations but not far off, if someone expected much more than a .270-280 average, then maybe those expectations are the problem, but he has hit .350 since his return, certainly those numbers will normalize but I think you see him settle in the .260 range, as far as his defense goes he's had his ups and downs and still needs to improve in that respect but I think he'll get better with time

Martinez had 16 starts, and 12 were quality starts, expectations much higher than that for him would probably be fool-hearty

And Rodriguez is performing about exactly like I would've expected 6-4 4.07 and 1.45 and yes he's struggled at times recently, but once again, within expectations

Delino DeShields is doing a fine job. Kela has been way over used but all in all he has done very well. Lewis has pitched well. Agree most are sub par.

Minus Lewis' starts versus Cleveland & the Angel's, his ERA is 3.43, those 2 starts account for 19 of his 59 earned runs

Right on Odor. If things were normal as far as Profar was concerned then Odor is still playing in the minors, probably at AAA. He has performed offensively at each level and is still young and learning. I believe he will be fine there. But I hope to see his defense improve as I have been a little disappointed with his play at 2nd at times.

defense is my problem with Odor...hard to say at this point if he's turned the corner

Looking at the numbers his defense does look much improved minus the errors, but its seems as if he's showing much better instincts overall, which might be contributing to his error total, and he's getting to the in between balls he once didn't

That being said, I do see him boot the occasional easy play, so maybe not, I can only base it on the numbers though

I've been wondering if maybe Choo doesnt like Banister...and that THAT could be part of his problem this season... idk.

Completely hypothetical -- buttttt...

Rangers trade Adrian Beltre & Yovani Gallardo to the LA Dodgers for Corey Seager (or Julio Urias) and a few other prospects.

Yes, that means we're selling. But. It puts Beltre back on the team he broke in to the league with and gives him a LEGIT shot at winning a title. (and how awesome would that storyline be).

Now, would those 2 be enough for one of their 2 top prospects? Idk...

For the Rangers though, Seager would apply pressure to Elvis's backside...and make him expendable in the short term. (minus that contract). Urias, the game's best LH pitching prospect. And young. Would be ECSTATIC to land either of those 2.

One can dream.

Seager is another lefty batter though.

I would absolutely hate to see Beltre go. But if he brought the right deal, I mean the kind of deal you'd think the other gm was stupid for offering, you'd have to consider it.

Seager isn't a SS long term, probably a 3B, point is I haven't read a single scouting report that doesn't question his long term ability at SS

See if you can get them to take Andrus if that's the case though, Gallardo, Beltre & Andrus haha, 1/2 year of Gallardo, 1.5 years of Beltre and too many years of Andrus... outside of Seager who's not sticking at SS, they don't really seem to have a lot of system guys that look to be SS's long term

And I would be okay with Seager at 3B and Alberto at SS.

Alberto is a defensive backup IMO. Not a ML starter.
I agree. Maybe if you had a lineup like we had in 2011 you might be able to get away with him starting, but not now or anytime soon. At least that's the way I see it anyway.

Well if you're selling off Beltre, Gallardo and/or Andrus, now is probably as good a time as any, b/c your season is probably over if that's the scenario, hopefully as a stop gap for Profar.... hopefully
