No doubt. I saw a special on ESPN, I believe, a few months back about Dirk and his shooting coach. He actually practices all of those crazy, off balance shots that he hits. I don't mean, after practice just messing around either. He spends hours upon hours on those shots.

Yeah I saw that. It's pretty crazy, those shots are impossible to defend.

Yea, ole Vlade Divac I am sure is just loving raking the Lakers over the coals with demands and snickering. I suppose he might be enjoying this time getting somewhat retribution for being traded to Charlotte for the rights to Kobe.

I dunno. I think the Kings want way too much for this guy...
I think he can be the #1 guy on a championship contending team if the pieces around him fit, but that just be a homer opinion. I like Randle but is unproven, Clarkson had a good year but Idk if he'd be a starting caliber PG on a good team, and the 2nd pick is great but draft picks are never a sure thing. Cousins has at least proven how good he can be. What worries me is if the Kings did this they'd probably want Okafor over Russell to replace Boogie. But the lakers would pretty much be getting rid of all the pieces of value they have, outside of the late 1st round pick.

Has anyone taken guesses on what no name foreign player the Mavs will take this year, stash overseas next year, and then trade at the deadline the following year? I'm sure his name will be un-pronounceable and he will be a slow white guy.

Here's to another Mavs draft!

I am not sure if this has been discussed yet, but...

ESPN suggest sources close to Lamarcus Aldridge believe it is 99.99% likely he leave Portland.
The Blazers seem to have accepted it.

However, the newest destination that has him great intrigued is the LAKERS???

It seems like the Mavericks have dropped off his list and its down to LAL or SAS...with the Lakers being the choice.

very interesting if the sources can be trusted.

Oh yeah, I agree. I agree with his premise too. It seems like every euro with any height gets called "the next Dirk" or they'll be better than Dirk. Never seems to work out that way though.

With Woj reporting it, shit just got real between the Lakers and Kings.

Having said that, if the Lakers can get Aldridge as an FA, do that instead of Cousins.

According to Kevin Ding from BleacherReport just said on Dan Patrick that it looks like the Lakers will draft DeAngelo Russell.

Ding is no Woj, but he's usually solid.

I just read that article... but the title is misleading. He didn't actually cite any sources saying that was happening. It was more like "If they draft Russell... its because... ".

Weird article.

For the record, I think the Lakers drafting Russel over Okafor is the correct move.

Yeah, he didn't cite specific sources in the interview, but DP asked him if he is hearing that or is it an educated guess. He said that's the consensus in the Lakers FO. He said that Mitch has been given full authority to do what he wants with the pick.

He also said that he doesn't think the Cousins deal will go through because the Lakers don't want to part with Randle.

Oh ok, cool, good to know.

I actually didn't hear/read the interview... I saw a Bleacher Report article that Ding wrote on the subject.

I think its the right move.

IMO I think the Lakers should draft Russell. It is a no-brainer if they get Cousins definitely though.

But dont they have to give up that top pick to get Cousins?

I just hope the Spurs dont get him. That would be an extremely dangerous team adding Aldridge, I dont want to even think about it.
