If Dallas could pick up Danny Green to replace Ellis. Then add Aldridge, that would be a hell of an offseason. Not sure what their cap looks like, but I'm sure Chandler has a big part of that. They most likely wont be able to keep Chandler if they pick up Aldridge.

If the Cavs do keep their pick in the 1st round I hope they get Delon Wright from Utah or Justin Anderson from Virginia.

none of these European players that come out of nowhere to be lottery possibilities ever pan out, do they?

There are some world players who have done well, but has a lottery pick ever become a superstar or won a championship?

Dirk Nowitzki was the #9 pick in 1998. I hear he's had a decent career.

I'm surprised David West opted out of 12 million dollars. At his age and health (he definitely lost two steps last year), I wouldn't think he can get that money anywhere else. The MLE seems to be his ceiling now (and that's what, 7 mil?). Plus, with a healthy Paul George and a good draft pick, Indy can be right back to the top of the East. He must really want out of Indy and/or a shot at a title.

Agreed - Why give up 12 Mil unless he thinks he can resign with Indy or another team for a longer contract that takes him into retirement.....

But would he really make more on a long term deal? He'll be 35 at the start of the season. It'd be reckless for a team to offer him a 4 year deal or even a 3 year deal.

Totally agree but how many bad contracts are handed out in the NBA - Could be he has a gentlemen's agreement with Bird...

I'm guessing he meant most lol. I was thinking the same thing, Dirk. But it really is true, most dont pan out and most are overhyped, it's just such a different game over there.

Oh yeah, I agree. I agree with his premise too. It seems like every euro with any height gets called "the next Dirk" or they'll be better than Dirk. Never seems to work out that way though.

I will go off the high limb and say we will never see a player as good as Dirk and that isnt just foreign. I hate when they compare players to them, especially if they are 19 and saw limited time in Europe. Dirk is an amazing shooter for his height and has all the skills. Crazy how unstoppable he was in his prime.

No doubt. I saw a special on ESPN, I believe, a few months back about Dirk and his shooting coach. He actually practices all of those crazy, off balance shots that he hits. I don't mean, after practice just messing around either. He spends hours upon hours on those shots.
