I think Perez went 3 innings and gave up 2 hits, with a HR on his very first pitch of the game. Believe he had 4 k's

Angels Daniel Robertson executes the safety squeeze, Aybar scores and the Angels take a 4-3 lead

Rangers should watch the film

I believe Profar didn't have problems before until he tried throwing at 120 feet. I think he had problems two different times at that point. I won't get too excited until he gets past that, but I would love to have him ready early next season.

We need to see Profar play baseball. And remember that Alberto had better AAA numbers than Profar.
Alberto was 2 and a half years older than Profar at the same level though. Profar's OPS was 65 points higher than Hanser's even though there was that age difference.

Prefer track . Saw Wilma Rudolph win 50/100 meters in the Rome Olympics.

Met her when she was a young lady sprinting and broad jumping at Tennessee State.

My old man did some refereeing at TN State when the late John Merit was coach there. So, we kind of got the run of the place, and Mr Merit invited us to come out for a track event and introduced us to Ms Rudolph.

Get this, there were maybe 50 people there to watch the event, and I stood very near her and watched her spring off that board like a bird. She was really something else.

Nelson Cruz pulled a hamstring.

Gosh, that's never happened before.

And just heard this, the guy pitching for the A's tonight is tough on the Rangers. Prince is 4 for 9, and includes two walks. But everyone else is 5-37.

Yeah, the initial report was Hammy.

According to what you've posted, the pelvic problem isn't serious nor a long term situation. Sure sounds like that's gotta hurt like crazy though.

“I’m not sure how to describe it, but his pelvic bone kind of popped out of place and he had some discomfort,” McClendon said. “He’s OK now but we’ll see how he feels tomorrow.”

I don't even want to know how bad that feels.

We need to NOT find out how it happened or else TEX long ball hitters are all going to come down with it for the next 10 years ... like Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.

Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi 1m1 minute ago

Sources: #Rangers and #Phillies having ongoing dialogue about Cole Hamels, and he is willing to waive no-trade to Texas. @FOXSports

And this followed ...

I hate the idea of a TEX going after a 31yo pitcher for what PHL is asking. Only reason the price they are asking is so high is because they signed a bad contract with him to begin with.

Who here thinks he's worth $96 mil through his 35yo season?

With at least one of the three LHP SPs on the DL due back this season ... and probably two ... and Yu back by midseason 2016 does TEX want that big a millstone? Gallardo and Rodriguez may be the first former NL pitchers who have been worth their trade or price since when?

Ya just beat me too this, b/c I heard this on 105.3 moments ago.

They quoted a Ranger source as saying, "although we have a lot of guys coming back from injury, we view Hamels as a significant upgrade, and one we've at least got to exam."

It's gonna take a lot of young players to pry him away, especially if we want the Phillies to eat some salary.

Wonder if this is serious, or a smoke screen for something else going on behind the scenes.

It would make no sense whatsoever. The national media is almost always wrong about rumors regarding the Rangers. I am thinking you could go back and see who Morosi had going to the Rangers over the last 3 seasons and offseasons and he is probably wrong over 90% of the time. If the Rangers traded for a starting pitcher with all of the starters they have available it would be moronic.

Its not that I don't think he won't be worth the money, I just don't want to pay the Phillies asking price prospect wise AND pay his salary, and then we have a potential logjam forming in the rotation over the next couple years as it is, just seems counterproductive, I'd rather continue the youth movement and if we're going to pay a high salary make it for one season (Gallardo) as a stop gap.... what happens with Gallardo aftter this seaosn is not really relevant, so don't start with the "what ifs" as of now he's a one and done

You mean like a trade with another team or what?
Gonna have to make some trade here real soon or movie people down to AAA for the pitchers coming back other than possibly Hamels. And signing those draft picks sure increased or will increase our farm system. Interesting times ahead!
