Ur talking about Kerry Collins?

Ha haa the Patriots beat a limping Donovan McNabb and Thr infamous Jake Delhomme...lol

Both of which were better than those Giant's. Both had better defenses and even better offenses, although I agree Delhomme milked his ONE great game into a very profitable career.

Still. Two Superbowls. The Patriots of this group won 3 in 3 appearance and didn't lose a single playoff game until then. And then they did get the bounces... It often happens if you get there enough.

Where's San Francisco? Last 50 years

49ers - 6 trips, 5 titles
Giants - 5 trips, 3 titles
Warriors - 3 trips, 1 title (a 2nd title still pending)

In the 3 sports, 14 trips to championships and 9, possibly 10, titles in past 50 years.

And btw NE fans only care about "since" 2001 they will readily tell you 50 years is far too long to care about. Plus it makes them irrelevant.

Deflect hide deflect

Before 2001 and ur small slice of Boston sports history u were depressed weren't u?

I can imagine.
That's all you want to discuss is 2001 to present for the Ratterds. How about Your "original" franchise tge Browns. How have they done? Oh sorry doesn't fit your cherry picked story.

From now on Floppy, before you enter a discussion you need to declare which era you want to discuss.

Except that is what they are basing "success" on. Please, read the article to see what the criteria was.
Chappee haven't you figured it out yet, that reading comprehension is just a suggestion in MaryLand?

No. They won a World Series 2 whole years ago! TWO.
Didn't tge Sox win a World series after beating a certain team by coming back from three games down? Never happened before if I recall?

We get to go back 50 years?

OK then, I'll only go back to when I started really getting into it in 70. I was 10 years old and since then the Bruins have been to the finals 9 times and won 3. They also had a ridiculous stretch of 29 or 30 straight years of making the playoffs.

The Celtics have been to the finals 9 times since 1970 as well and won 6 of their 17 titles in that time frame.

The Patriots have been to the SB 8 times winning 4.

The Red Sox have been to the WS 5 times winning their last 3 appearances.

And just to informed everyone's little buddy, the Patriots did not suck for 40 years before winning a title. It was more of a roller coaster ride of pretty good teams for a few years followed by sucky teams for a few years......rinse and repeat.

No one lives in the past like Boston

Whiny hypocrite fanbase, for 80 years whining about their big brothers in NY, only to mimic their every action

Pathetic

Pineda has looked great, but he's never thrown 200 innings before. They might be using up his bullets too early this year. Tanaka's elbow is held together by Silly Putty. He's already been on the DL once this year and another trip wouldn't surprise anyone. You can't count on a guy like that. Nova sucks. Warren is decent the first time through the lineup. They have overachieved. They could still win the AL East, but that is hardly a "complete team". I do expect the offense to regress, for sure.

"I hate the Yankees" would have saved you time

You just ripped 5 guys that would be the best starters on the Red Sox right after you told me "long way to go" about the Red Sox

Well let's get real here. There's a difference between talking about the 27 Yankees and 27 rings and talking about a kickass decade and half run that you witnessed that produced a championship a mere 4 months ago. I'm sure you can figure out what the difference is.

No there's not

Not until it happened to your favorite teams

You can be honest

Clearly the best college sports town in the country is Lewiston, Idaho. Lewis Clark State College just won its 17th NAIA baseball national championship in 35 years. They've had 23 championship game appearances during that period as well as 30 NAIA world series appearances.
