Right because everything that GS does in relation to winning has only to do with luck. Too funny.

Wow, and I've also never said that. Are you going to just keep putting words in my mouth?

Fact is, as I illustrated in the post where I flipped the situations around, I'd say Cleveland would be lucky as hell to come away with a win if they were in Golden State's shoes. It just is what it is.

I won't argue with you on that - I wish he had played less and there's a good chance he would've at least flared something up. The guy needs the offseason in a really bad way. There's no guarantee a game 1 win would mean a series win for Cleveland - GS is too good to make that sort of assumption, and they can win anywhere.

I'd be a bit careful with the "slave" talk. The dude is making millions of dollars and he's playing a game, and to be fair he looked good through all of regulation. His defense was irreplaceable.

I agree he looked good...due to a cortizone shot perhaps? That is fools gold my friend. Regardless of how he looked his coach should've realized he needed to preserve his star player and he didn't and they lost him as a result.

Yeah, yeah, I know... the fact that opponents have frequently gone through rough offensive stretches against the Cavs is because the Bulls, the Hawks, and now the Warriors "just didn't play their best"

Uh no, missing open shots, is missing open shots. The Warriors actually have a history of slow starts. It's part of the reason many didn't have them coming out of the West. They figured those slow starts would eventually catch up to them.

Unfortunately, for the Cavs and everyone else that they've played. Everyone is still waiting for that to happen. Or maybe your t.v. showed a different game than everyone else was watching? :noidea:

It's hard to argue that for sure. It's a tough situation to be in. If he doesn't re-aggravate his leg injury and he's playing great and Blatt pulls him and then we end up losing in regulation, Blatt would get blasted for that as well, more than likely.

But you have been saying it...in almost every post you keep saying the Warriors are lucky. You're right though, it is what it is. You call it what you want & we'll call it a win for GS.

And I'll call it luck because it was. Like I said, if the script was flipped and Cleveland was in Golden State's shoes I'd be thrilled with the W, but I'd also say Cleveland was pretty damn fortunate to come away with it. I don't know why you can't understand that and why it pisses you off so much.

Except GS wasn't missing "open" shots. Cleveland was playing damn solid defense. Watching that first quarter, I must've missed all these times when GS players were left sitting wide open and bricking their shots. They were missing shots, that's for sure, but just because they miss them it doesn't mean they were open.

Maybe so, but at the end of the day he's still able to play another game. Listen, I wouldn't argue this point if it were game 7 or if they were on the cusp of winning their 4th game. But, this early in the series, that was just a very bad move on the coaches' part and might even prove to be the fork in the coffin so-to-speak.

Well GS has played great but in each round the opponent didnt have their PG at some point. Injuries are part of the game, but yes GS is lucky in that factor. They have been injury free.

Luck is ALWAYS a big part of winning championships. Especially luck with injuries.

Yea, yea, yea. You're calling it luck because after all that "work" the Cavs did it resulted in a loss for them which I can only imagine has to be hard to swallow as a fan. I get it.

Uh, yes they were. It was commented on last night and has been commented on this morning. You should have watched the game. You missed a pretty good one.

Wow, you really think they didn't get even ONE open shot that they missed?? Goodness...

I don't think you're arguing any point, I agree 100% with you. I think if last night was game 6 and the series was now tied, Kyrie is probably playing with a syringe in his leg if it means getting onto the court, but obviously that's not (and probably won't end up being) the case.

Yeah, I did watch the game. Maybe there was one or two, but saying all of their misses were just wide open shots is just plain false.

I can agree there. But it's not like the Warriors weren't in the game until Kyrie went down.

You really love putting words in my mouth. It'd be great if you would just comment on what I say and stop assuming things.

I never once said they didn't miss any open shots. I was saying they weren't just missing tons of open shots left and right.

We're not arguing just discussion basketball. I've given my opinions on what happened and you've given yours.

Come on man. Watch that replay with Olynyk. It doesn't matter if that's Love or Cal Ripken, he did a nasty number on his shoulder. That had nothing to do with durability.

I don't blame you on the second part, though. I'm wondering if he'll be able to command a max deal in Cleveland, especially with how Tristan is playing, but I don't know if I'd be thrilled to committing that kind of money to him, mostly because he's in his late 20s now. He may still have a ton of big time basketball ahead of him, and I'd love to have him at $12-14mil a year, but I don't know about a max deal.

Regardless of how the injury happened, it was another injury to a guy who was already starting to be considered injury prone. Hasn't he broken his hand twice? Had back issues and now this? Bynum's first knee injury was from Kobe falling and hitting his head on Bynum's knee. At the time, Lakers fans were more worried that Kobe may have a concussion. It really didn't look like Bynum should have had an injury worse than a bruise.

I was thinking about Love's situation with Cleveland a little this morning. With how Tristan has played, you have to figure that the Cavs making the finals without him hurts him a little when it comes to the Cavs re-signing him. On the other hand, if the Cavs lose, maybe the narrative becomes, "If Love were healthy, the Cavs would have won, even with Kyrie playing on one leg or out."

We know Love is going to want a max deal, the question is will the Cavs give him one or will he have to go someplace else?

Yeah you're right, but you have to think his shoulder would've been fine if it was just another incident where two big guys got tangled up (probably happened to him 4-5 times a game). At any rate, I know they're raising the salary cap and Dan Gilbert had more money than God, but I don't know if he's worth max money at this point. If we had Love, I think we'd be right where we are now and possibly would've had a game 1 win (2 points from Tristan certainly had me clamoring for Love, despite all the rebounds), however it's no guarantee.

He'll get max money somewhere, I have no doubt. There seems to be a lot of smoke with him and Boston. Have you heard anything about that?
