If Banny doesn't want him, he's going down. Take it to the bank.

My point exactly. If fact, in this type of situation, I would think Banister is the dog and JD is the tail. I mean that respectfully to all parties. Just think if the dugout Mgr would probably get a LOT of input here.

Besides, JD's watching and knows the same things we do about Odor. Hopefully better.

If you're a Cowboys fan.... maybe?

:noidea:

Not so relative to a BUCCANEERS fan eh? Understood.

Not a huge deal on anyone's radar. Frankly, glad he's gone. And honestly, he should be in jail. Seriously.

This is the best line-up we can put out there IMO. Including Rosales at 2nd.

By the way, Hitzges went off on the organization today for putting Odor in such a no win situation. He had a lot of good points too.

I missed that. Odor has played some good defense but those three throws, the DP thrown straight into the ground along with another one in the ground and then the really high throw really alarmed me. And he has struggled with the bat but on that strike out that the pitch was so bad that he was able to get to first base that kept the inning alive was a pitch I could not believe he swung at. It seemed like he actually went backwards last night. And this is coming from a big Odor fan. Whatever they are trying to do with him is not working and I know it is a delicate situation as far as sending him down but I hope they come up with a good solution that gets him going in the right direction. I feel he still will be a very good ball player but for now he just needs to get out of this funk.

I certainly appreciate where you're coming from, and I too, think Odor has a decent future ahead of him.

But it's not delicate IMO. He's hurting the team this season pure and simple. And worse yet, he's going backwards in his career too! A classic, double-negative.

Isn't he still the youngest player in the majors? He had no business being in Arlington last season, and it's really showing this year. I hate it. But it's the truth. Banister and company sits him down and have a frank, but big brotherish conversation, and lay out the plan for him and us.

It's certainly not mean to send him down, in fact, I'd argue the opposite.

Not sure what TEX is doing with Kickham. Optioned to RR on 5 May but yet to appear. Kickham's roster spot came from Rua moving to the 60dayDL. Rua's spot could have been used to make room for Lucas or Field to take over at 2b allowing TEX to demote Odor.

Having either Lucas or Field on the active roster would also set up potential for TEX to choose who to keep ... Field/Lucas or Rosales once Odor is ready to come back up whenever that is.

But instead ... Odor is going backwards and the fans don't like that.

Sorry.....you lost me on this one.

What does Odor going backwards, fans dislike, have to do with Lucas/Field being called up? Do either one of these guys project to decent/strong futures in 2016 and beyond?

I'm missing your point. Help me out please.

I thought we had an OT Cowboys thread.

Well.....sorry to bog down the site.

Thank goodness you weren't around earlier when a couple of us were bantering around about fishing.
