That depends entirely on Preller's opinion of Elvis.

That being said...... who would play SS for Texas in the meantime?

First one to suggest Rosales gets blocked.

Rangers' Tanner Scheppers tosses bullpen without issue Tuesday

Rangers pitcher Tanner Scheppers was able to throw a bullpen session Tuesday without any issues, reports MLB.com.

Scheppers, who is on the 15-day disabled list with an ankle injury, is expected to pitch for Double-A Frisco Thursday and make 3 to 5 appearances before returning to the big leagues. Scheppers posted a 9.00 ERA in 2014 with 17 strikeouts and 10 walks in 23 innings pitched.

We really need Tanner to get back right, where he was before the injury last year. This would go a long way in helping out the BP.

Question for the board: which was the bigger mistake in trying to convert from reliever to rotation, Scheppers or Ogando?

If I had to pick one I guess it would be Tanner. Ogando had success as a starter and I think could have been ok if he wasn't bounced back and forth. Tanner had a role as a setup man or possibly a closer if pressed into that role and having him in a starting role wasn't really a dire need IMO.

Definitely Scheppers.

So far, 9 out of 24 games have featured one team shutting out the other. I guess offense is down league-wide.

It always takes a little while for the bats to catch up to the pitching in April.

Great question. I think there was more potential upside if Sheppers could have successfully made that transition while Ogando was a niche opportunity who was never on the scope as an SP.

So -- to your question -- I think the bigger mistake was putting Ogando into the role -- recognizing that Ogando was a late fill in for Feliz who TEX tried to convert to an SP. Of the three ... Feliz was the worst decision.

So who are some of your fav players that don't wear the Texas flag on their jersey?

I don't think it's a secret that I love me some Giancarlo Stanton. I also enjoy Bryce Harper as well. And I don't like admitting it, but watching Mike Trout play teams that aren't Texas is actually kind of fun. Shhhh don't tell any Angels fans.

Pitching wise I also love me some King Felix and Jose Fernandez.
