I just think he's going to have to pitch damn near perfect to get any wins.

Cubs have some promise but they are still a couple years away. Lester wasn't gonna be sharp tonight with limited ST after the dead arm issue. Coke gets it done

I think they're a minimum of two years away, and that's best case scenario.

If Baez and Bryant figure it out at the same time...Look out NL Central.

Love both of those kids but I think Cubs still need some pitching depth.

One move that surprised me in recent years by the Cubs was the Edwin Jackson signing. Dude has always had control issues and mostly been not very good.

They have like half our pitching prospects...they should be good to go right?

Not sure how any of them will pan out? Still kinda up in the air as to what they do. I think Ramirez may be a good reliever for them though this year

None of our best ones. I'm actually very impressed with how even with all the prospects JD gave up to contend that he still managed to keep the best pitching prospects and even strengthen the pitching prospects. He never touched Chi Chi, Jackson, Mendez, Perez... Etc, and added guys like Jake Thompson.

I will say giving up Edwards for Garza still stings.

Chi Chi came on strong the last year. LuJack had a little sruggle, and Chi Chi has wowed the whole way. Finally getting to see him pitch on Saturday was a treat.

And yes losing CJ Edwards still sucks.

I don't know how ya'll can even stomach watching this game. That's a wound that will never heal for me until we have that trophy.

I was just :L every time someone on espn was screaming to trade Perez because he was twenty fucking one and wasn't a ML starter yet. Keeping him is going to reap huge benefits for Texas.

I cannot imagine if they traded Perez. I was so heartbroken last season when he needed surgery. I'm still sad about it...he was coming into his own making me so proud.

The process has started with the removal of the buffoon that cost them it several times over during that series. Plus, I need real baseball so bad I can deal with it.

He'll be back. May be looking at a rotation next year of

Darvish
Holland
Perez
Martinez
Chi chi

To think we may have won that WS without that moron still irks the shit out of me. I needed real baseball like a crack head needs rocks.
