The offseason is finally over and it's time for the season to begin. Thank God! We can post all discussions about the goings on of the season that don't apply to the game threads.

D-Backs scratch LHP Vidal Nuno from exhibition game on Saturday

The Diamondbacks scratched pitcher Vidal Nuno from his scheduled exhibition start Saturday against the Cubs at Chase Field. Anthony Banda got the start in his place. The club has not provided a reason for his absence, per FOX Sports Arizona.

Nuno lost the race for a spot in the starting rotation, and was relegated to the the bullpen. The Rangers have discussed a deal with Arizona that would send the left-hander to Texas, but a source told Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports that it's unlikely to happen.

Not sure this guy would be any better than the other options they have tried. Kinda hope Ken is right

I've always seen Grimm as a spot starter/long man type. Great curveball, but the fastball has zero movement and he doesn't throw hard enough to get away with that.
