I admit that Yohe was on that soapbox often...but I agreed with him every step of the way. He's simply reporting the facts: "Oh look! Three shutouts tonight out of 8 games!" And he wasn't shy about calling the league sad, etc.

Did Yohe sum up what they wrote him in said 'nastygram'?

I still find this... interesting. Why would the NHL take offense to what he's written? Must have hit them pretty close to the mark to get those crotchety old bastards riled up enough to respond to a lowly beat writer.

To answer the question, yes Pat Quinn should have been in the Hockey Hall of Fame prior to his passing. One of the greatest NHL coaches of all time as well as great success on the international stage.
