..in all of this.

Dallas & Seattle are not nearly as good as they were with Murray & Maxwell respectively.

Cary Williams is shit when picked on & he will be a ton. Dallas? Good luck with Dez on the tag & no RB. At least for the moment.

Can they even afford Peterson?

Seattle defense will be just fine, they have a ton of stars on that side of the ball. On offense, Russell Wilson has another year under his belt, beast mode is back in action, Paul Richardson is coming into his 2nd year, and now they have Jimmy Graham…..lol, this Seattle team is still very scary.

Dallas on the other hand….I'm not concerned about =)

I don't think you understand the importance of Safeties. Cary Williams will look just as good as Maxwell did in that system. And yes he sucked here.

Maxwell is a #2 CB. Not a #1. I don't think Seattle will miss him at all. And Jimmy Graham will help them more then any player we have gotten.

Dallas, ahhhh, they weren't that good last year. We were just as good as they were. We just shit the bed the last few games.

While Cary Williams is a downgrade to Maxwell….that team is still stacked and they just added Jimmy Graham to their offense. Seattle clearly remains the best NFC team, and arguably the best team in football.

I guess we'll see. If they are just as good with Williams vs MAxwell, I'll be shocked.

Plus they lost the SB..bad trend for them.

I found myself cracking up today. The haters who know nothing about football are way too funny. Cowboys fans hating on this signing saying we needed Murray more than they did. Now I am not going to sit here and say Murray is he savior or anything like that but he is a very good back. I am concerned about his injury history but to say the Cowboys will not miss a beat without him is laughable. I think he is a getter fit for this offense than shady because of his willingness to block and his north and south running.

Murray has a great ability to one cut and accelerate downhill with velocity and brute strength. For a guy known for power, he's got speed and ability to cut as well. Really good vision and an absolute handful to tackle. He can also catch the football out of the backfield and pass protect. I'll always remember that play he absolutely trucked 293lb Damion Square

Durability and workload are the questions here. I can live with some fumbles here and there with a guy as talented as this.

While you're cracking up, save a chuckle for yourself. When your RB combined for 3000 yards under the only two seasons under said system, that's called fitting.

So y'all have stepped away from the ledge of the cliff after Kelly traded McCoy and Foles for what they received? And letting Maclin walk?

See? Apparently he had a plan all along.

Shady is a great back but let's not sit here make it seem like we are saying he is crap because no one is saying that. However take it from people that have watched ALL the Eagles games and not your new homer opinion based off of video clips.

Again Shady is a great back but he took a step back this year because teams played him better but he still put up good yards. In the red zone he was not the featured back after the mid season point because he was not getting it done. That may not be all him....he just is not a power back. Shady started slow but really picked it up late in the season though and I can assure you......Bills fans will love him. He is great to watch and he produces.

And you'll love Kiko. He'll make losing Cole hurt less. Not the greatest run stopper, but he'll help.

One of my best friends is an Eagles fan, I watch more than you may think. After the trade, I was saying great move both ways. Most here were in a blaze of glory "ridding" themselves of Shady, commending the cap space, and laughing at the Bills spending money on a RB. The same people are backing paying two injury prone RB more money than one durable one. THAT'S what I'm laughing about.

I get the power-north-south type you guys want, and that's great, I would agree, but when some pretend Shady isn't worth it due to "a lot of carries on his tires", or "dancing", and forget to mention his durability because of that, while his stats couldn't be better over the last five years because he's 1st in rushing....it's just hard not to "retaliate".

What I hate about McCoy;

42 runs for negative yardage last season, totaling -103 yards. 312 attempts total, with 42 for negative yards is 14% of his carries resulting in negative yardage. 27 attempts for no gain, 36 for one yard. 20% of attempts going for 0 or 1 yards.

Total attempts averaging 2 yards or less; 141, amounting to 45% of attempts.

Murray, on the other hand, had 38 runs for negative yardage last season, totaling -91 yards, with one huge outlier at -14 yards. With 392 rush attempts, that's 9.6% of attempts going for negative yardage. 35 attempts for no gain, 41 for one yard. 19% of attempts going for one yard.

Total attempts averaging 2 yards or less; 155, amounting to 39.5% of attempts.

Kelly's offense is predicated on moving the ball forward, quickly. When your star RB is losing yardage 15% of the time he touches the ball, that's not good enough, especially not at a cap hit of $10m per.

My bad. He could have had 3100 yards! What a bum!

My point is just to show that this is, at worst, a lateral move, and I personally think that Murray is the better RB. So we got a better RB for our money and picked up a young LB that will hopefully fill a hole for years to come.

Murray is more likely to get you positive yards, but not big plays. This isn't a big play team any more as it was in the Reid era, this is a "Let's run 70 small plays" team now.

I'd rather my back lose yards 2-3 times a game for 16 games for 10m, than my two backs lose 2-3 games a year due to injury for 11m.

Instead of looking at 42 carries, look at the other 270! What's his YPC there?

Yes. If healthy your team will be equal or better. Just enough with the Shady the dancer is holding us back nonsense.

Just because a couple posters here said that doesn't mean we all think that. Stop generalizing.

Your words, fade. "I wonder if the Bills regret this". For reasons I've stated, no.

I also mentioned that in relation to the Cowboy's not retaining Murray. I bet that if they knew Murray would have been free for the taking they would have held off on the McCoy trade and pushed for Murray.

It wasn't an insult, it was me wondering if they would have put the trade on the back burner to pursue Murray.
