Or they are to scared to leave the south because it's all they know. Going to Bama means you play 95% of your games within walking distance.

Most of them write their name with a X so they wouldn't make it past any PAC schools entrance reqs. Even WSU and Oregon.

But as long as you survive the yearly roster cull, there is plenty of benefits coming you way for choosing Bama. New suits, clothes, and shoes magically appear in your closet. Your parents start driving new cars.

Lots of sweet benefits come from signing that X on the Bama LOI. Just survive the cull.

Wow. Bringing up something that happened 25 fucking years ago and didn't involve the school or the coaching staff to justify Oregon's current player buying? Talk about beyond desperate.

Your seriously going to go there considering what Phil's recent acquisition, Vernon Adams, pulled? The day after he announces he's transferring to Nike U., the class act shows up at the EWU practice facilities decked out in brand new U of Oregon gear and shoes (Gee I wonder where he got that???!!!) and they proceeded to tell him to get the fuck out. What a class act.

They showed they were the only ones in the SEC who could win anything last year.

Gotta love the NCAA and its wheel of sanctions. They must spin it and where ever it lands thats what the school gets . The Syracuse Basketball (and some football) team had some shenanigans involving multiple players with illegal benefits and school work improprieties dating back to 2001 that rendered players ineligible. But since Syracuse won the NCAA title in 2003 the NCAA, in it's infinite wisdom began with 2004 as the year they would start messing with the record books and punishing them. So this stuff started in 2001 and continued from there but lets not mess with them till after they won the title. Fucking crazy.

Yeah. Obviously there need to be rules and a governing body to enforce them. However, there also need to be limits, standards and guidelines with regard to that governing bodies ability to dole out punishment. The NCAA says they want to be able to treat each case individually, but the problem is that it has led to their decisions being so inconsistent that they appear to be completely arbitrary in nature.

Arbitrary doesn't even begin to describe the NCAAs decisions. They say that academics is the top priority yet they have consistently under punished schools blatantly cheating to keep athletes eligible.
