I like me some Chevelle. But yeah man, I dig today's country music. Of course I like guns, drive a truck, got a dog..

Saw Ozzy during his 'Retirement Sucks' tour back in '95 I think? It was fucking great! Korn opened for him and it was the first time I had heard them since they were not well known yet. They rattled the roof for sure but Ozzy knows how to entertain a crowd!

I do not remember the dates (or much of anything else about the first 2) but here goes nothing.

Both US Festivals (in no particular order the bands were The Ramones, The Cars, Oingo Boingo, The Kinks, Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, Talking Heads, B-52's, The Police, Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Van Halen (not Van Hagar), Scorpions, Yes, Ozzie and there were more but I can't remember them)
Metalica/Suicidal
Metalica/Korn
Metalica/Korn/Kid Rock
Anthrax (under a different name at a night club..............)
Guns and Roses
Aerosmith (twice)
Rush (was bummed; I heard they put on a great show so it must have been the shitty acoustics at the Delta Center)
Styxx (honestly, I was never a fan.............but they kicked ass live)/Pat Benatar
Bush/Goo Goo Dolls/No Doubt

Now I'm about this close to going to see Slipknot and Lamb of God but I'm feeling kinda too old to go................

Saw Ozzy in 1982 not long after Rhoad's death with Gillis on guitar then. This was June 1982. They were still selling Rhoads stuff at the concession stand. I got a Rhoads T-Shirt and a tour book with Rhoads still as lead guitarist that night. Both those sold on ebay for a lot of money a few years ago.

Waylon Jennings is my all time favorite artist. Just wish he could have hung around a little longer so I could have saw him live. I'm gonna see Willie this year.

Good to see representation from a different genre of music

I really don't listen to Country that often but know enough to realize that those were some of the giants of the industry.

I'm a little too young for my favorite music, so most of them were when they were well past their prime, but they still put on good shows.

No particular order and some dates are fuzzy

Rolling Stones @ RFK July 4th 72, Stevie Wonder opened... I've seen them several times since
Springsteen @ Masonic Temple, Detroit in 78 ... I've seen them several times also
Alice Cooper 3 times in the early-mid 70s. ZZ Top opened for them once. They were all great.
The Stooges @ Pine Knob.. their reunion. I think it was 2005
The Temptations, Gladys Knight & the Pips opened in 1968. My 1st concert. My mom took us.
J Geils Band a couple of times in the early-mid 70s... fantastic live band.
Aerosmith in 73. I'd never heard of them. They opened for Rory Gallagher at the local community college gym. We were right in front of the stage.
Patti Smith - many times beginning in about 77, last time was in 2013.
Elvis Costello & The Attractions at Meadowbrook.... early 80s maybe
Jerry Lee Lewis & Chuck Berry in the early 70s. Berry was ok but The Killer just blew him off the stage.

Biggest disappointments -

Led Zeppelin at the Silverdome in 77. Maybe it was the lousy acoustics or maybe I was just too messed up, but they sounded terrible. I couldn't even make out what they were playing at times.

Van Morrison - Around 1980. The only even semi-hit he did was a half-assed Moondance. He was not into it at all.

Neil Young - He's been a mixed bag. I've seen him several times. Sometimes he's very good and sometimes... well Neil does what he feels like doing in concert and occasionally that's not so great.

Some other good ones - The Kinks, Tom Petty, The B-52s, Roxy Music, REM, The Replacements, The Pixies, Sonic Youth, Bonnie Raitt....

Biggest regret:

Parent's friend offered me his 2 tickets free to Led Zeppelin, July 1977. I was too young to drive, couldn't find a friend to drive and go, so I turned them down. Last USA shows ever at Oakland that week. Who would have known then? I assumed I would see them eventually.

Worst show I've ever been to, well, George Jones was great as the headliner, but Conway Twitty's dimwit son, Michael was the opening act.

Sounds just like his dad my ass. He was so off key, and his voice wasn't near deep enough, and he had absolutely no vocal range, and he had this lard ass trying to be Loretta Lynn, and she was just as bad as he was. They played around 30 minutes past their time, and George Jones was threatening to leave, so they cut the power off mid song.

Haven't heard his name since that night.

Saw Metallica at Starwood Ampitheatre when the ...And Justice For All album came out. Sound and show were unreal. James' voice was so filthy good back then.

Saw Rush at The Forum and I can still feel the bass in Tom Sawyer.

In no order, and maybe not even the best...I'm sure some faded memories will return.

The Who
Jethro Tull
Paul McCartney
Have seen Primus, like 9 times and have met the band twice.

Smoked pot with B-Real from Cypress Hill before a show.

Saw Tool on the side stage at Lollapollooza with maaaybe 200 other people.

Ozzy
Pantera w/Clutch
Clash of the Titans tour(Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax and an unknown Alice In Chains)

Alice In Chains at the aforementioned Lollapolooza, he drank two fifths of jack in under an hour. He was fucking smashed, and was making up up crude lyrics as he went.

Seen the Dead a few times.

The Pixies
Suicidal Tendencies
Metallica half a dozen times before they sucked bawls

Dylan and handful of times

pretty much every decent punk band you can shake a stick at, and a few shitty ones.

Saw White Zombie on Halloween night in Vegas on a grip of shrooms.

Saw Kurt Cobain jump into the crowd and beat the shit out of a fan that was allegedly raping a girl in the audience.

Have seen The Melvins prolly 20 times.

Hmmm?

Saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers the day after Jerry Garcia died.

He dedicated Learning to Fly to him.
