Wrong,

Lewis was convicted of obstruction of justice. It's a fact not fiction.

And to this day he has still not come clean on everything that happened that night and the days that followed.

First sentence is absolutely true...you're getting better. Lewis was guilty of obstruction of justice and he paid the price for it. End of story.

Second sentence is pointless. There were witnesses everywhere that night. Sweeting and Oakley were not found innocent due to a lack of evidence. On the contrary...there was an abundance of evidence proving their actions were justifiable and that is why they were found innocent. BTW...who gives a flying f--- about the days that followed?

If that all happened today, no statue, no way. 15 years ago, things were different. Remember, Ray was fined 250,000 by the league.

So just to be clear. You think there is no way Ben ever gets a statue in Pittsburgh (even if he leads the Steelers to a couple more Lombardi's before his career is done)?

Gee maybe if Ray is so innocent in the death of those two men he should turn in his nice clean white suit showing he had no involvement.

Where's the suit Ray?

Damn...I gave you credit too soon. My fault...I should have caught up with the entire thread.

Listen Einstein...everyone knows exactly who stabbed the two thugs to death. Sweeting and Oakley were on trial for it. They weren't found innocent due to a lack of evidence. They weren't found innocent due to there being doubt as to who stabbed the two thugs. They were found innocent because their acts of stabbing the two thugs werejustified.

Stop embarrassing yourself by bringing up the stupid suit. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything (other than his conviction of obstruction of justice).

So why does Oakley deny it?

Thirteen years since his acquittal on murder charges, Reginald Oakley still doesn't want to say who stabbed two men to death on Jan. 31, 2000.

Was Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis involved in the murders?

"I can't answer that," Oakley told USA TODAY Sports.

Did Oakley kill anybody and get away with it at trial?

"I can't answer that," he said.

Oakley, 44, avoids giving away too much information because he says he plans to release a book about it this summer called Memories of Murder. In the book, he said he will provide those answers and his own eyewitness account of the crime scene that morning outside a nightclub in Atlanta.

The crime remains unsolved but now is getting new attention — and rekindling emotions — as Lewis prepares to play in his final NFL game in the Super Bowl on Feb. 3. The game will come 13 years after Lewis and his friends took a limousine to their own Super Bowl party.:suds:

It is absolutely amazing to me that people will give their sympathy towards to horrendously bad individuals like Baker and Lollar and now apparently consider another one (Oakley) as a truthsayer...all in their attempts to believe what they want to believe with Lewis. Considering my personal dislike for Ray Lewis...I just don't get it.

BTW...according to that article:

A. That book would have come out a year and half ago...what did it say?

B. The crime is unsolved? Really? The killings were ruled as justifiable homicides so unless someone can be killed twice...they aren't unsolved. This kind of irresponsible journalism just feeds the ignorance.

They were not ruled as justifiable homicide. The two men in quesiton were aquitted. Big difference.

It was a slam dunk case that the prosecution fdup.

The result was a stunning and humiliating defeat for Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard. CNN legal analyst Roger Cossack went as far as to compare Howard’s performance to the bumbling Inspector Clouseau of the Pink Panther movies. “If they ever write a book listing the most inept prosecutions ever,” Cossack wrote in his online column, “this one will be highlighted as the standard by which all others are to be measured.”

We get it. You can stop now. You support murder so long as it helps your favorite team.

We've got it.

For the last time, I'm speaking of the modern...as in today's....level of attention to conduct. Even if you refuse to see murder as being in a class of it's own on the conduct scale, if Ben was rapin' and tearin' it up this season, yeah, I think we may have gotten to the point where there would at least be serious protest about it. There probably will be anyway.

If Sandusky was knockin' boys back in the 70's they still would have put up a statue of ole Joe; not today.

I don't give a shit about the Ray thing really.

Yes becasue employing a video camera from and unapproved location is on the same level as murder.:pound:

That is, of course, not accurate.

Why don't you try typing it correctly and then see if you think it's still worth bold font, "humorous" pictures and so on.

Yes we understand you think murder and obstruction of justice are the same as a minor rule violation in a sporting event.:pound::pound::pound:

No, I know that "no murder" and obstruction of justice to a case where the defendants were found not guilty and determined to be self defense is far less than a HC and owner cheating in a multi billion dollar sporting event, getting caught and punished for it.....And then their moronic fans trying to act like it didn't happen....
I know that must be hard for a chromosome deficient Pats fan, but everyone else that can count to 3 can understand it.....

They were aquitted, not found to be self defense. You are a complete idiot.

And Ray was convicted of obstruction of justice in a murder investigation. And you are still an idiot.

And lets not forget Mr. Suggs love of using bleach on family members. :pound:

And now the teams security chief is in trouble. You know the guy that helped in trying to brush the Ray Rice thing under the rug so he could still play.:pound:
