Clarification: That would be Malcolm Butler, not a butler.

That's awesome... Brady is one weird dude, but at least he can be a class act.

a multi multi multi millionaire giving away an BONUS 40k car is not any sign on "class."

Tom Brady originally tossed the keys to Ricardo Lockette to console Lockette on the tough loss, but Malcolm Butler jumped the route.

Well it was either that or give it to his gardener to get from one end of the property to the other. Just kidding total class act.

Doesn't matter what your salary is... It's definitely a sign of "class"

I think its a great showing of leadership, sportsmanship, etc. Doesn't matter if it was a truck or a loaf of bread... The fact that it was an MVP award, he's acknowledging that Butler was a key piece to that victory.

Thanks I was trying to look for the words to explain it. You spelled it oht perfectly. It's all part of building a team. Many people feel he's smug or arrogant. He's a firey competitor on the field. But total class off t he field.

Very nice move. I was saying that butler should've been the MVP because without his pick, the patriots lose. Brady giving him the truck is very classy. He is basically acknowledging that Butler should've been the MVP as well.

Right on TV as he was being awarded his first MVP car, he expressed embarrassment at being singled out and said it should be regarded as a "team car".

In some ways the guy hasn't changed.

As stated above, it's not about the monetary value of the car. Brady is acknowledging a teammate who without him the car would most likely not be Tom's anyways. He has his MVP award and 4th superbowl and probably doesn't need the new car as much as the undrafted rookie. So he showed his appreciation for Butlers efforts.

Good stuff. Don't get it twisted.

Was it in question that Brady didn't think his team mates were important to the outcome of the game? No.

So, that's a stupid comeback.

You're talking about a BONUS car... it means nothing to Brady.

So, giving it away means nothing.

Does he acknowledge his team mates? Yes. Good.

Giving away the car is nothing, and not worthy of note.

I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise to me that you are just as dumb on the NFL forum as you are on the college forum.

It's not about the item, it's not about the value of the item, it's about the gesture and what it says you fool.
