If we win next week, we will probably get a home game against the Chargers or Ravens -- The Texans still have a shot too if both the Chargers and Ravens lose. I think this is unlikely. And the Chiefs could still get in if everyone loses. Again unlikely. If the Broncos lose we could get a bye. I also think that's unlikely.

If we lose next week, we're in Indy.

Which team gives us the best chance to break the streak?

I'd say SD -- They looked beat up the other night and I think we could get revenge. I also think we stand a good chance against Indy. Even though I think Baltimore stinks, I don't want them in the playoffs.

Any home game. Preferably Baltimore.

I don't think we stand a chance against Indy.

To me, it has more to do with Indy..... They are very inconsistent. Play them on a bad day for them and chances are good. I also think that first game against them was screwy because of our tie the week before and their 10 day break. They just had more energy that day.

The Colts have nothing to play for next week. They're locked into the 4th seed regardless of any circumstances. And they get to play the Titans while we play the Steelers Sunday Night. They will be well rested.

While we've looked much better against the pass the last couple of weeks, that's been against predominantly short to intermediate passing teams. We aren't very good against down the field type teams. That's Luck and the Colts. In Indianapolis.

To be fair, Flacco is a downfield type of quarterback.

But he stinks.

It doesn't matter who they play, they ain't losing another game all season, including playoffs. Seriously though, the only team that scares me in the entire field, AFC or NFC, is the Pats. They have been on fire since they beat the shit out of the Bengals, everyone else looks very beatable.

I'm sold though. This team has looked like the old Steelers teams that beat the shit outta people on the ground. Keep that formula and they'll be in any game they play the rest of the year, I just don't see that being a viable option against New England.

Our O line is in shambles and on our 4th center this year and he is out. Our run game has been inconsistent at best this year, and Rivers has been nailed time and again by various blitz packages. I don't see us going deep into the playoffs this year, and top this off with the news that Rivers has a bulging disk, we are not primed for a good run. Not to mention, we have to get by KC on Sunday.

Give me the Colts. Not only do I think they are fading, but if we have to play them, there will be no pressure on us, everyone will be slurping at Luck and preparing to talk about either Luck/Manning or Luck/Brady in the next round

I think New England and Pittsburgh are our two biggest problems. We've already had plenty of trouble with both. I don't fear Indy, even though they kicked our ass too. Indy can't run the ball right now, and has a banged up receiving corps. I feel like our recently found power running game can dominate their defense. I would also be a little worried about having to beat the Ravens for the third time this year. This week will tell us much about where we stand with the Steelers.

no way should the Ravens be in the playoffs.

that's the only team in the running we can beat though.

The Bengals just beat Denver in a Primetime game and you don't think that they can beat the Chargers, Texans, Chiefs or Colts? Baltimore is the last team in that group that I'd want to see in the playoffs.

chargers, chiefs and colts would own us.

the Texan's shouldn't own us, but they do.

It was a home game in the rain. lets not act like Dandy Dalton is cured of his fear of the lights.

we're going to get beat, we're going to get beat bad.

Yes, the fact that it was a home game and that it was raining changes the fact that the Bengals beat them. You're a moron.

I'd go with SD too.

They're a QB centric team and their QB is playing injured

As a Bengals fan, danno, you know we don't get many chances to celebrate and rejoice in success. You are missing out on one of those few chances.

And you think the Bengals are fixed and that they can suddenly win in Indy?

don't get personal, idiot.

I'm glad they won.

but I'm realistic about the future.

just because I disagree and acknowledge that we're not going to beat the colts doesn't mean I'm not glad we won.

here are some facts:

1 Marvin coached his best game vs Denver
2 Dandy is not very good
3 We don't have Marvin Jones, Teats McGee, Eifert, Burfict, & Green is questionable
4 We should make a run but we are beat up
5 That's some serious talent missing
6 I'm soaking up the Denver win for as long as I can

Our offense is definitely limited right now. Limited by an inconsistent quarterback and limited playmakers given the injuries. Not sure how many good teams are just going to let us run it and throw screen passes. Hue is creative -- But good teams will catch on. AJ needs to get healthy.
