Broncos looking pretty darn healthy again with Montee Ball the only injured player not practicing. Thompson returned to practice yesterday and looks like he should be good to go for the game on Sunday. Only other player to miss practice today was Michael Schofield as he deals with the death of a family member. So thankfully at least at this time we seem to be staying half way healthy. Hopefully that continues.

Extremely glad to see Denver so health. Going into this game Denver needs to make a few statements. First, they can win on the road AND dominate a team they should. 2nd, know there is a good chance SD could be 6-1 when they meet in 2 wks and they can't afford to throw a stinker vs Jets. 3rd, no blaming the rbs this wknd. They need to show they can run the ball starting this Sun. I will be very disappointed if this game is decided in the 4th qtr.

I agree, Randy. Winning by one point obviously counts the same in the standings as winning by 30+. Still, I can't help but look for a margin closer to the latter!

I'll start by simply saying that I'm definitely starting the Broncos' defense on my fantasy team this week.

The Talib pick six made that a pretty good play.

Didn't get to see much of the game, but it was kind of a nerve wracking to follow on the net and Red Zone. Glad we got the W, of course.

From the looks of the box score Miller had a monster game. 2 sacks, 2 TFL, 1 PD, and 4 QB hits to go with 6 tackles. Also glad to see that Juwan Thompson got some touches, including a 16 yard run, and that Hillman got 100 yards rushing.

Defense had a great game. Up front, Wolfe, Ware and Miller wreaked havoc all game and were scant inches away from a whole bunch of additional sacks. I thought Bradley Roby had an awesome game as well. Looked every bit the part of a first round pick. Defense laying some big hits all game.

Same here Td. Red zone. Was a little perturbed they kept Jets alive till deep in 4th. Loved running game resurgence. The D stats were pretty impressive and looks like penalties played a factor in killing drives for Denver and extending drives for Jets. Good road win but once again, they can't really deliver kill shot when they should. Any news on Trevor yet?

The offense has to pick it up a bit in 3rd quarters of games and put the game out of reach. Hillman and Thompson have brought a spark to the running game. The o line had some issues with pass protection and penalties that has to be cleaned up. Welker was to quiet in this game as well. As for the defense the Jets really had only one drive where they scored a TD so no complaints here. Time to get ready for S.F.

I was pretty satisfied with the defense. There is room for improvement but they do look like things are coming together. I'd say they are seconds away from being a dominant unit. By that I mean there a few plays where they are a split second away from making a devastating play. There always seem to be 3-4 of these per game.

The offense will get its knocks this week but the truth is the Jets defense isn't bad. They came into that game ranked 6th against the run and the Broncos got their putrid ground game going against them, so that's success.

They will put it all together at some point and when they do it is not going to be pretty for whoever is on the other sideline.

The Broncos running game has been better the last 6 quarters they have played. Hillman and Thompson are getting the job done latey. All they needed was a chance. Just saying.

Yep. Looks like I was wrong about the running game. To get it going against the jets is fairly impressive.

Derek Wolfe had a hell of a game against their run.

My biggest complaint of the game, penalties. Too many mental errors nearly sunk us.

That game just reinforced my belief that Rex Ryan is a heck of a coach. He clearly had Manning uncomfortable and I can't remember many games where Manning had to move around as much as he did yesterday. The Jets had a great gameplan defensively and it gave them a chance to win. Of course, the Broncos also did the Jets a favor with all of the penalties they took. How many times did they shoot themselves in the foot? Gotta cut back on those penalties.

Penalties to me were the difference in the game being a complete blow out and it being what it was. Lots of mental errors keep separating this team from just being down right scary. How many drives did we have going to only then have a holding call that completely derails it? I would say penalties cost us about 14 points and gave them about 7 so about a 21 point swing all because of penalties.

I'm not one to complain about the refs so won't get into that too much as I do think many of them were deserved but I do think the Jets were doing some behind the scenes things especially on the personal foul penalties. Usually the Broncos are very disciplined at least in that area where they don't get those stupid penalties so for us to get what 3 or 4 in one game should be something the refs look into of why the Broncos are acting out of character.

The guy I feel for on the penalties though is Ronnie Hillman. He should have had closer to 150 yards rushing in that game if not for the holding calls that honestly were not needed in most of the cases.

Anyway overall it is a win on the road with the team not playing at their best. The defense is definitely very close to being dominant force and Von Miller somehow just keeps looking better every week!

Anybody heard on Trevathan yet today?

I would also add that when we play a physical D-Line our O-Line has problems. They were pushed around quite a bit yesterday.

Have to say that I loved our run game yesterday. Hillman finally showing some of those skills that we wanted when we drafted him. The fumble though destroyed his performance a bit for me as I was yelling at the tv as he was taking off to get the ball tucked as he was running with it straight out to the side easy for knocking out. Overall though loved his ability to not just bit a scat back for us but actually carry the load.

Need to also give a shout out to Bradley Roby. This kid is playing way beyond his years this season. Yesterday he was targeted only 4 times and gave up only 1 catch for 7 yards and had 2 Passes defensed on 2 of the other 3 passes. Plus throw in his sack and the kid just seems to be getting better by the week and making our FO look really good.

The one guy that I am ready to see benched though is Manny Ramirez. He had one of the worst games I have seen a Bronco have in a long time yesterday. He is just too darn slow so athletic Defensive Tackles can easily run by him and then he just has horrible technique which means the stronger DT's can just shove him straight back into Manning's face. I honestly think it is time to see what Will Montgomery can do at Center. I don't think he can play worse than Ramirez has so far to this point in the season. Plus hasn't he had like 2-3 snaps already that looked just like the first play in the Super Bowl? He just is not having a good season so maybe a couple of games off is what he needs to refocus.

To be fair to Ramirez, the snap yesterday appeared to be the fault of Vasquez. Vasquez gave Manny the snap the ball leg tap and Manny snapped it. I noticed after that the Broncos went back to having Manny check between his legs on the silent count.

Other than that, you're right that Ramirez has been bad and yesterday he was particularly terrible.

So Danny Trevathan has another crack in his left knee. No timeline for his return but it does sound like he will be back this season. Just will need another probably 5-8 weeks for recovery. I would guess he goes on the IR with the designation to return.

I agree the snap yesterday wasn't quite his fault but it does seem like this happens on a more regular basis than with any other Center I have watched for the Broncos. My bigger concern with him is he just doesn't move very well. If the guy doesn't come straight at him he doesn't get the block.

Fox talking to the media right now saying they have turned a "Bunch" of the penalties yesterday into the league to have them review them. Sounds like the Broncos were not too impressed with the refs yesterday. A lot of ticky tack calls.

Yeah, Rameriz hasn't been all that great and when facing a decent NG / DT. I believe the Broncos were looking at Centers in the off season but felt once Mack was off the board there wasn't a real good option via FA or the draft. Ramirez was a utility backup on the O-Line and a 3rd stringer at some positions. I think he's unfortunately been about the best option since Koppen went down. I think Koppen (if healthy) could outplay Ramirez right now.
