So the Jets have to win by 6 points to win the bet? I think they should be able to do that easily. I wouldn't put any money on the Raiders even if you give them 6 extra points.

I like the rebuilt Raiders OL and think they'll be fine against NY's DL. Carr is athletic and if the OL breaks down, he'll be able to make some plays with his feet.

Still the CB's are weak, they are playing a FS at CB and that's never easy. Totally different position.

And Calvin Pryor is a rookie starting at SS.

Jones is a solid veteran, Moore can stretch the field, Streater is solid and Holmes showed some potential last season after Dallas released him. The WR's aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be

And Rivera is a solid player, he showed a lot last season as a receiver.

I wouldn't bet on this one at all. But if I had to as part of another bet... I'd probably take the Raiders and the points. The Jets QBs are turnover machines, too, and Carr in his first game may make better decisions than Geno in his second year.

This isn't freaking NE or Denver, it's the Jets. Very much a winnable game and 2 evenly matched teams when you look at the matchups.

There's no NFL game tape on Carr while the Raiders defense have watched tons of game film on Geno.

Agreed. . Not betting on this one either. But if I had to. . Id take the Jets.

I tend to agree with DJ here. Those Oakland WRs are almost certainly better than they've been able to show with Pryor, McGloin and Flynn throwing to them.

Why in the HOLY HELL would you bet on THIS game? Take Pittsburgh -1.5 and laugh all the way to the bank. Or Chicago -1.5.

Bringing in Jones was huge. He led the NFL with 14 TD's just 2 seasons ago. I think he'll be Carr's security blanket and I love our 1-2 punch at RB, although Jets run D is really good.

Carr could have a nice debut against those starting CB's. And I think he'll throw the ball away or run if that beastly DL beats our OL. I think our rebuilt OL will hold their own though, it's a lot better than last season. Yes, I know that isn't saying much.
