Jets give the points... don't let your Carr love affect your judgements here. Rex Ryan is going to bring heat on this kid like he's never had a nightmare about. He will throw at least two ints.. and his supporting cast is just plain bad after those 2 RB's.

The Jets have a very good DL, but their secondary is awful. They are starting a converted FS at CB in Antonio Smith and Dimitri Patterson.
I like the rebuilt Raiders OL and think they'll be fine against NY's DL. Carr is athletic and if the OL breaks down, he'll be able to make some plays with his feet.

Patterson got cut after he skipped the pre season game.
As bad as that secondary seems, the Wr'S are just as bad. . No decent TE, and a rookie at QB.. I'll take Rex Ryan for the block in the center square
This feels like it could be a somewhat plodding, low-scoring game until late. I figure the Jets win that battle, and the Raiders are scrambling late and cough it up. Whether the Jets score a TD out of that is probably whether you win or lose.
I wouldn't bet on this one at all. But if I had to as part of another bet... I'd probably take the Raiders and the points. The Jets QBs are turnover machines, too, and Carr in his first game may make better decisions than Geno in his second year.

Jets have to win by 7. 6 is a push. I think the Jets are a better team at the moment and would take them at home. Some west coast teams seem to have a problem with 1pm EST games.
And Treff, as clear-thinking as he usually is, may be slightly biased against the Raiders since they've been disappointing him for most of his life.
I tend to agree with DJ here. Those Oakland WRs are almost certainly better than they've been able to show with Pryor, McGloin and Flynn throwing to them.
The more I think about it, the more I like the Raiders to keep it close.
