I know there are a lot of guys here that play with each other (and more that play with themselves) but I though it would be kinda cool to keep a thread of any breaking injuries/happenings that may help our season. Post em if you got em.

This is kinda interesting to me...............I would think the Bills would rather play it safe.

(FFChamps) C.J. Spiller will be the Bills' No. 1 kickoff returner this season according to buffalobills.com. Analysis: Although this sounds great from the outside, Spiller will likely see a drop in touches on the offense if he is indeed returning kicks. Featured running backs are never used on special teams. Conversely, Fred Jackson owners love hearing this because it reaffirms what we believed in preseason: Jackson will still have a major role in the Bills backfield this year.

Oh yeah, I own Freddy in a couple of leagues and in one of them I kinda need him to be, well at least valuable.

I'm sitting him this week so he'll probably: Play and have a monster................

(FFToday)After missing Wednesday's practice with rib soreness, Cam Newton returned to the field on Thursday but didn't throw a pass during the portion of practice open to the media. Newton later told reporters that he wasn't full-go, but remains on track to play in Sunday's regular season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "If I can go, I'm going to go," Newton said, "and how I'm feeling now, I'm on pace to go." Newton has never missed an NFL start, but acknowledged that he won't put his team at risk by playing before he's ready, reminding scribes: "I am human, and we all have our limits."
Analysis: Hardly a ringing endorsement, but it is a good sign that he took the field on Thursday. Newton is a low-end QB1 at best this week with a shaky offensive line against a potentially dominant front seven, so he has his work cut out for him. The Panthers don't kick off until 4:25 ET on Sunday, so owners may need to go in another direction this week. Derek Anderson is Newton's direct backup.

(FFToday)Broncos WR Wes Welker is suspended for the first four games of the season, and Browns WR Josh Gordon is suspended for the entire season. Both players have already appealed, and lost. And yet there's a chance that both players could still see their suspensions reduced. As Mike Florio reported on NBC, Welker, Gordon and potentially other players in the midst of suspensions could benefit from a new drug testing policy that the owners and players could agree upon soon.
Analysis: Offseason use of amphetamines would move from the PED policy to the substance-abuse policy, which would allow Welker to get by without a suspension as a first-time offender. Another change is that the threshold to trigger a positive result on a marijuana test would rise. That would affect Gordon because his positive test was just barely above the NFL's current threshold. What it means is that Welker could be available sooner than expected and Gordon is worthy of a stash.

Let's give the Ellington owners something to worry about:

XTRA 910 Arizona's Mike Jurecki reports Andre Ellington underwent an MRI on his left foot Thursday.
Per Jurecki, Ellington had been "dealing with some discomfort" over the past week, and aggravated the injury in Thursday's practice. The situation has the makings of a Week 1 nightmare, but there's no point in panicking until the Cardinals reveal Ellington's MRI results. His status will be updated on Friday. Jonathan Dwyer is the next man up at running back for Arizona. Even if Ellington is ultimately cleared for Monday's opener, the situation is a reminder of his fragility.

Dwyer and Stephan Taylor, my Suicide buddy, are next in line.

(Rotoworld)Coach Bill O'Brien said Arian Foster is "going to play a lot" Sunday against the Redskins, and "will get the bulk of the playing time" in the Texans' backfield.
Analysis: Foster is one in a handful of true every-down backs across the league. The Texans are going to ride him hard this season with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback. The only concern -- and it's a big one -- is if Foster's body can hold up. Foster owners need to roster Jonathan Grimes. Foster's going to see upwards of 20 touches per game, as the Texans will try and win games by running the ball and playing stout defense. He's our No. 10 running back for Week 1.

Oh shit.....................
(KFFL)Arizona Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (foot) could be out for four to six weeks or longer, depending on his prognosis. His timetable for a return will depend mainly on how quickly he heals.
