Oh I like quality too..........but you could put out two cups of plain tap water on a table and write "high quality - Price: $0.10" on one, and "higher quality - Price: $100" on the other..........and HH would spend the $100 to drink the higher quality water

:p

MY BAD!

Sorry, just had to say it once.... let's move on....

I called Iowa U today and told them the only fix to their problem (13 players being out and Head Coach not being there to support them) is to fire Ferentz and hire a new head coach... I suggested they call Wats... They asked me if he knew how to get to Iowa City and I told them if they give him a map, we know for a fact that he will not deviate from the plan no matter what obstacles he is trying to avoid... LOL

Thanks sir, I look forward to working with you.... :D

brb on that --I have ta look that thread up
it was plorsted by 24/7 awhile back

Mercy Me That Is Rather Humourus....

MMTIRH!!!!!!!

Oh, no, his will have a cheap imitation gold plated fancy label.....

Serioulsy HH? You're one of the "high end" HDMI cable suckers? :L

Just buy the $5 cable and then you'll have $55 more dollars to spend at the bar....

Your video quality will be just as good, and then you can buy all your SportsHoopla friends an extra round....we all win.....

There is a difference...... Usually not a visual one- but insome cases yes-even though it's a digital signal...

Not on 3ft cables.... but my Blu-Ray is 25 ft from my TV thus I have a 30 ft cable.....

The difference in the cheap hdmi's and the "high-quality" is.......
1. Speed- the high quality hdmi cables are capable of high speed
2. Insulation- Digital signals are still prone to get interference from high wattage devices....
3. And most important to me..... Connectors- the high qulity hdmi cables have much better connectors, I had cheap hdmis and I often had to take my darn tv off the wall and wiggle the connector on the back...... that tv is atleast 100 lbs....... Have not had to do it once since I "wasted" my money on a expensive HDMI cable.....

:D

What if Nebraska beats FSU in the title game. Won't you be conflicted about your contribution then? LOL. Just kidding. :D

Hopefully this is something that never happens

That looks like the same engine i have in my geo. It looks like crap but gets 40-45mpg so I don't really care what it looks like. Plus I'm married with kids so I'm not worried about trying to pick up chicks in it :)

Hey sir, all ya had to say was for some reason irule neglected to mention a size difference.....;)

I agree with you about connectors.....that's the only criteria I pay attention to for short hdmi cables. I'm not saying all cheap cables will have the same quility of connectors, but there are plenty of cheap cables with well built connectors that will work identically to a Monster cable...Price doesn't dictate build quality.

For longer runs, I don't have a system setup that requires one, but again you said your problem was with the connectors. The other things you mentioned are just buzz word selling points..."speed" and insulation.....yes any electronic signal can be interfered with and spanning a longer distance would definitely increase the chances of interference, but if the cable is insulated enough to pass the ratings of the cable, in the end (pun not intentional) it all comes down to the connectors...I will always buy the most inexpensive cables that have good quality connectors.....so instead of $.75, I'll go hog wild and buy the $5 or $6 dollar cable....:D
