Choice has more talent for sure. Whether he puts it together upstairs is a different story.

Choice could be better offensively but I dont think he will ever be better than Gentry on defense. But if Choice could get it going with the bat then we could overlook the defensive shortcomings. It was something I was willing to do with Cruz but Cruz did have a great arm.

I've come to the conclusion neither are viable starters on a contending ranger team going forward.

No doubt. However, if choice could ever realize his offensive tools his offense would outweigh his mediocre at best defense.

I hope so. I see the talent. The ability to get his hands inside so well at times is impressive, as is his foul pole to foul pole power.

Anyone have an idea of how well the M's have done sine they acquired Austin Jackson? Seems like they're doing much better with him.

Despite Jackson's numbers not being what they were in Detroit, the M's look like a better unit.

Don't want to put too much pressure on this youngster. There's no rush to pencil him in at 2nd for next season IMO anyway.

Another year in the minors may do wonders for him. IDK

Yeah.....I agree.

Sometimes I forget he's only 20 and could use a season or so of maturing, working on his plate discipline, getting stronger, etc.

35 pitches through 3 sure is nice. Weather is cool. Maybe we can see a CG (wishful I know).
