Well, the guy is extremely good at marketing himself and knows how to manipulate situations to his advantage.

Add to that nobody graduates from Stanford early that is not smart.

I mean he won an award for breakthrough athlete after being in the ProBowl the year before.

I dont like the guy but he is a very smart guy.

Yup Great point. He went WWF Rant for a reason

I guess I should clarify that I'm not trying to say Sherman is stupid. Like you said, he's obviously a pretty bright dude. I just don't necessarily think people who have been in school for a long time are automatically smart.

You're right with most schools. But Stanford still has academic standards for their athletes. And carrying a 4.0+ through high school and Stanford may not be the result of great intelligence, but its defenitely a sign of a great work ethic.

This^^^^.

If he had graduated from The U, or FSU I would not be defending him but,

Stanford
BC

and I am sure a few others require legitimate classes, attendance and grades to graduate.

This is a legit school.

I would agree, but if you go to Stanford its a different ballgame.

Our new OT Cameron Fleming went to Stanford and Graduated with a Masters in Engineering and studied Aerospace Engineering.

Sounds pretty silly to me. Fantasy sports have been around for a long long time and would remain if there were only 7 points scored in each game.

They have only become big business due to the fact that it's so easy to do them on the internet.

If anything Sherman goes out of his way to tell other people that they are being politically incorrect. After his "mediocre" rant people called him a thug and Sherman turned it into a racial conversation. When the NFL talked about banning the N-word, Sherman basically called the league racist. I don't think Sherman has ever been politically incorrect. He is the politically correct police...

Let me paint a picture for you. Politically correct = BB after a game.

Did he finish it? Everything I read states he started the masters program, but hasn't finished the program.

But to clarify... It is a masters program in communication, right?

Cheap shot alert!!!

Don't be so sensitive. I'm just asking.

If you see it as a "cheap shot" it's your problem.

Yes and apparently your problem is not being able to spot an obvious joke?

I was thinking the same thing. A communications degree isn't exactly going to impress me regardless of where he got it.

With that said, I still think Sherman is more intelligent than the average football player.

It's never the responsibility of the communicator when his/her message is conveyed incorrectly. Got it.

You must not be a communications major.

A Master's degree is legit regardless of what the field is.

For a guy like Sherman, getting a Communications degree makes a heck of a lot more sense than getting a science degree. It will help him tremendously once his career is over and is probably already helping him understand how the media works and how to leverage it.

Unless something strange happens, he will be a voice we will be hearing for 20 years on Sundays.

We need guys like Sherman in the league. I like when people speak their mind. I personally don't understand how it's messing up the game since I don't follow/play fantasy football. It's been around for some time now; how is it messing up today's game?

Isn't communications one of the easiest majors to choose from?

This.

All that's really happening is RBs becoming less relevant in fantasy leagues and QBs/WRs/TEs more relevant. Fantasy football is simply evolving along with the league. It's certainly not the other way around. To say so is ridiculous.

Well it isn't as difficult as a hard science major but I don't think it is all that much easier than most liberal arts majors.
