They asked him about the no contact rule being enforced and he said "It's a money driven league and the NFL wants to get there fantasy stats" LOL that was a nice jab...

Many people don't like him. He does make many valid points when he opens his mouth.

The NFL is a business and they will follow the dollar.

How so? Even my nephew who is 8 told me the same thing. Sherman isn't smart, he just has the balls to say what is politically incorrect.

If anything Sherman goes out of his way to tell other people that they are being politically incorrect. After his "mediocre" rant people called him a thug and Sherman turned it into a racial conversation. When the NFL talked about banning the N-word, Sherman basically called the league racist. I don't think Sherman has ever been politically incorrect. He is the politically correct police...

Sherman knows how to respond to things. He may have been great last year, but I think it wasn't until his interview with Erin Andrews that everyone knew who he was. I think after that, he got mics shoved in his face and he has became this character. Youtube him. You get many interviews. Almost all start with Erin Andrews after Seahawks beat the 49ers.

I think he is cocky and has a too big of an ego, but I don't disagree with most of what he says.

Indeed, there is a fine line between being educated and being smart... but Sherman is a pretty smart dude if you ask me. Knows how to market himself properly for sure. Him and Peterson are both the same in that regard minus the rant.

EXACTLY!!! this is what the haters Dont get. He knew exactly what he was doing. He turned into a WWF type Villain.....and you know what, it worked. He was just the best corner in football playing way up in south alaska with the east coast bias media and money goes to bed before his games start.,..... before that interview.... Now he's Richard Sherman, on the cover of madden, on chunky soup commercials, on beats by dre commercials, winning espys, on numerous other media outlets etc. Signing (at that time) the biggest deal for a corner in nfl history. He was number one on the NFLs top 10 story lines of 2013 etc.

he knew exactly what he was doing.

He has a masters degree from Stanford.

Did he finish it? Everything I read states he started the masters program, but hasn't finished the program.

But to clarify... It is a masters program in communication, right?

I like Sherman, but educated =/= smart.

Well, the guy is extremely good at marketing himself and knows how to manipulate situations to his advantage.

Add to that nobody graduates from Stanford early that is not smart.

I mean he won an award for breakthrough athlete after being in the ProBowl the year before.

I dont like the guy but he is a very smart guy.

Fantasy football is really killing the vibe of Sunday. I can't even watch the games with my boys anymore without hearing them cry about their fantasy team or turn the entire day about their fantasy team.

Meanwhile, I'm just trying to go crazy about the game......

Sherman is right.

I'm not saying Sherman coasted through, but that graduating as a D1 basketball of football athlete can be misleading. Half of them can't even read at a high school level.

You're right with most schools. But Stanford still has academic standards for their athletes. And carrying a 4.0+ through high school and Stanford may not be the result of great intelligence, but its defenitely a sign of a great work ethic.

We have a winner! Totally agree with you. There are a lot of NFL athletes that work hard, and hit the films hard and try to better themselves every week. Me being biased here, but I think the Sherman's and the Wilson's carry that ethic to higher level.
